It's an okay steakhouse if I don't have time to kill my own cow. Wait? This ain't the steakhouse, it's the dip. Grow a set and roll-your-own sallies.

Im in college and on a tight budget. the only money I have is what is left in my account from summer work. I saw long horn straight at the tobacco barn for $2.39 which is the cheapest price ive seen and thought i might give it a try ( I live in texas). I gave it 4 stars because i cant honestly say its the best flavored dip out there, but I also think it deserves more credit than what its given. personally, I thought it was surprisingly good for the price i paid. I can't complain.

I used to love Longhorn and at that time I would of rated it at five stars! Since that time I have been experimenting with different types of smokeless tobacco and I have noticed that Longhorn is really at the bottom. Longhorn wintergreen is my favorite Longhorn flavor. Although I kinda just dissed Longhorn it is a great dip, I can't lie there. Even though my Longhorn is fresh, and moist I always get some what of a dry taste from it. It doesn't dry up quickly, and it doesn't ball up like cope wintergreen. But overall its not the worst, and at its price it makes it seem even better when you stick some in your lip. :) My most commonly used dip brands... 1. Grizzly (wintergreen) 2. Copenhagen (natural) 3. Skoal (peach).. no buzz factor I just love the flavor. 4. Longhorn (wintergreen) when im on a budget 5. Kayak

Dont know why theres so much fucking hate. I love longhorn, my all time favorite brand. My cans have always been moist, and same size cut and flavor as the last, normally theyre packed full too. Taste is amazing. FC Natural is just like cope in taste. LC Nat is similar, but somewhat salty. LC Mint is my favorite mint, feels like its freshening your breath. LC Wintergreen burns like a motherfucker, but tastes relatively good. After Grizzly, and Cope WG though. LC Straight, isnt anything special, but its good now and then. And in West PA, its only 90 cents, cope is 2.19. Good shit.

I like the swedish flag, but there is nothing swedish about Longhorn. Ralphs in ca started carrying it and dropped all other barands, they cans of Long horn sit in the case and expire because no one buys them. It looks, smells and tasts like dirt. It probably contains dirt as well, it "grinds in the teeth" like they never bothered to wash the tobacco leafs. This product should probably be removed from the market by the ATF. Swedish snus such as General Loose, General Portion, Goteborg Rape, etc. are far superior to american smokless tobacco products but there is nothign swedish about Longhorn. In recent years there has been an American trend to try to copy swedish tobacco concepts such as camel snus (its not realy snus, its more like a nasty stick of gum) and Marbro snus, both a complete joke and probably toxic. If you want a decent tobacco product, google for authentic swedish snus outlets in your area. You will never see authentic swedish snus in 7-11, Ralphs, CVS, etc. But in stead ... Read more

I've only dipped for 3 years now(started the second day of 7th grade) and i honestly can't complain. I like the price and the flavor of the mint. I dont know where you guys live, but long horn here is only .99$ and cope and skoal are only 2.79$ a can. Happy dipping to you all.

longhorn is alright. i usually dip copenhagen long cut. an i keep a log of longhorn straight lc in my truck just incase i get in a tight situation an run outta copenhagen. an longhorn is also good if your tight on money. because where i live copenhagen is about 6.50 a can an longhorn is only about 2 bucks a can. i wouldent recomend longhorn natural fc or lc to anyone, some people say it tastes like copenhagen but to me it tastes like shit. also redseal natural lc is very good its about 5.50 here but its got 25 percent more snuff in tha can than any other brand. an if ya wanna CHEW than id reccomend levi garrett or beach nut. but still bad snuff is better than no snuff!!!

You know what i dont care wat any of u guys say longhorn is great has a nice smooth taste and in fact i had one in while i was writing this review. if u want to say that i dont know wat a good dip is iv been chewing for 6 years and hav tried pretty much every brand and every flavor of the brand. Thats why im giving this a 5 out of 5 because i can buy 2 cans of longhorn for less than the price of 1 can of skoal and thats a pretty good deal. Oh and if u cant get a buzz off of it put a bigger dip in u pussies try half a can its cheap enough, so do it. other types of good dip i recommend: grizzly winter green (if u got a strong lip) cope black (really smooth for unwinding) timber wolf mint (for u mint people and its cheap) Skoal berry blend (for u fruity people)......Pansies BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS CHEW WHAT U WANT AND DIP TILL U DIE!!!! Live free guys.

I've only had the FC natural its ok , has a natural taste but its relatively weak its also somewhat on the salty side, it could possibly be a substitute for a more expensive brand ill try more flavors and update my review UPDATE:::: Have had Lc wintergreen: just like redman wintergreen lil weaker in taste, its burning my lip though

just like anything else the closer you are to where the dip was made the fresher it will be when you buy it, hence better. longhorn is made in Owensboro, Ky, so any one in any of the surrounding states or in Kentucky itself will be getting the best product at the cheapest price. in my opinion longhorn is exactly the same as grizzly used to be before it switched to metal lids, at which point it didnt buzz as good and turned down the cope/skoal road of overcharging just for taste and leaving behind the real reason for dipping. im sure once longhorn has made enough money for a lifetime it will do the same and people who have been using it for years will insult the new better buzz replacement just because the loved how good their dip once was.

I don't get all the crappy reviews...I dipped Cope for a long time, and when it hit over $6 a can, I had enough. Longhorn Natural was the only can I could find that tasted the same as Cope. I've since switched to Mint Long Cut. I agree, if I had money to burn I'd go with Skoal Mint, but for the money, Longhorn does it for me. I see a lot of Grizzly fans putting it up with Cope and Skoal, its still a bargain bin snuff, just like Longhorn. The only problem I've ever had is buying out of date cans. That's just from the lazy sales person not checking on his stores. I wrote Swedish Match, and they sent me 5 free can coupons. I'm happy with it at $2,49 a can.

Longhorn Sucks the proverbial bung hole of life! Not much flavor, and feels like sawdust in your lip! I'm a avid Griz' Winto' fan, but when it recently hit $6.51 a can, I refused to pay...Found Longhorn on a promo sale for $1.49 a can. bought 1 can of every flavor to try out. The only flav I can half ass handle is the Mint. I threw the other cans away after only 1 dip. This stuff really sucks balls, and certainly is not enjoyable, but in a desperation situation it does the job. If Longhorn was the only brand left on planet earth, I would quit the nasty habit! Heading to the rez tomorrow!

Been a skoal user for 30 years and its just too expensive now. The quality of skoal has gone downhill lately too. Longhorn is priced where a chew should be, and honestly It's been hard to tell the difference in taste. I like the fact that I can get 3-5 cans of Longhorn for the current price of ONE skoal. They're too proud of their product now or made more money than God off it from people like me.

4 stars I've been chewing Longhorn (both Wintergreen and Mint) for about a year now.. It seems that the Mint is a bit stronger than the Wintergreen, but both have a good strong flavor. I was somewhat loyal to Skoal Wintergreen but the price for a tin in Wisconsin reached over $6. On a whim, I picked up a tin of Longhorn (simply because it was the cheapest) and haven't looked back. I have never had a dry tin, although I will admit the consistency of Longhorn is different from Skoal or Grizzly (both of which seem courser). The flavor is more similar to Skoal Wintergreen than Grizzly Wintergreen. Longhorn does pack a surprising punch however the length of flavor seems to be a little less than the higher priced products. If all prices were equal I would likely stick with the Skoal or Grizzly, but can't justify paying the extra $4+ per tin for a slightly better product in my opinion. I have found some places (mostly on the south side of Milwaukee) where I can find Longhorn on a pro... Read more

I give Longhorn 4 stars because it's surprisingly good for the price. It doesn't pack very well but it's definitely worth a try if you're on a tight budget. I tried the Mint. Not bad at all. The bull on the top isn't as cute the Grizzly Bear and you know it really can't kick the Grizzly Bears ass but bulls are cool. The same can be said the dip inside the can. Longhorn dip can't kick Grizzly's ass but it's respectable.

Okay, not surprisingly, Longhorn is not on the same level as Grizzly or Copenhagen. After all, it is a cheap brand of smokeless tobacco. But I didn't think it was all that bad. I used to dip it years ago to save money, and then when I got a better paying job, I starting buying the good stuff like Cope and Grizzly. But overall, Longhorn is a decent dip for such a low price. I liked it better than Kayak. The way I see it, if you're going to dip, then dip what you like. To me, Longhorn is simply okay.

I live in Texas , Houston area , and as you may know Texas put a $ 1.00 per can tax on smokeless tobacco , and the Feds just passed the PACT act that prevents internet sales . So all that said anyone know of a place near Houston to buy Longhorn Longcut Wintergreen at a decent price . Thanks nick

Don't touch this product! It may be cheap and the easiest too obtain to little kids who wana dip but if your gona dip atleast pay the extra dollar for grizzly. This stuff dosn't pack well, taste's like old dip and pure shitty tobbaco loaded with extra addatives. If you too hard up to buy grizzly you shouldn't be dipping because your obviously not 18 or even old enough to make the extra money too buy dip. Also most of you call dip chew, common mistake but chew is actually chewed and more natural, such as red man or levi gerret ( if you want smokeless Tobbaco, levi is where its at!), any one who chews dip is most likely a nooby dipper, stupid then their going to get sick, especially with this nasty product. I've been hard up for dip before but i still wouldn't put this shit in my mouth ever again

I'm not a big fan of longhorn but it's definetely dippable. If I don't have the cash to buy my main products I'm down to get a can of this stuff. It's not the best but I like it. It gets 3 stars, for being cheap, have bold flavor and the smell isn't bad. You just have to man up and try to enjoy your dip kids. Real dippers enjoy the flavor and the nicotine. If you can't handle try something else. If you didn't like it don't buy it. I'd recommend at least trying it and seeing if you like it. It'll give you more money in the long run and you can get more. Save up your other money for the cans you prefer. I personally think Longhorn is here to stay with me whenever I need a fix and I don't have the cash. Give it a shot

They sell cans of Longhorn LC Wintergreen around here for $1.25 and i bought a couple cans last week. I don't think it's all that bad. Longhorn Wintergreen almost tastes like Skoal Wintergreen but a bit stronger. Also it's more of a fine cut even though its sold as a long cut. It packs like shit, but the wintergreen flavor is pretty decent and it lasts for a good amount of time, plus it's very moist. You get what you pay for and for a value dip...I'd buy Longhorn Wintergreen again.

Everyone I know told me not to buy longhorn, one day i was short of cash and saw a can at walmart. Got it, it's not the greatest out there, but I actually like it. Although to me it feels like a "rechew". But it packs nice and has a good flavor. Compared to my usual: Redman, it is different, in a good way though :)

I started dipping 9 day's ago and have kept in a dip or side chew in constantly every waking minute ..... the only time I take out my dip is to eat or to avoid throwing up. I tried longhorn long cut wintergreen the other day while at the mall christmas shoping I rate this dip 3 out of 5 stars only beacuse it was difficult finding a place to spit. after the cuffs on my shirt sleves got soaked with chew spit I started to gut it and it made me near sick.

Really wish I could write a review that contains no stars.. My local store for my tobacco needs, ran out of my favorite pleasures in a can. So I took a stab at longhorn since I never tried it yet. Well this is beyond horrible tobacco. I apologise to those of you who do enjoy this particular flavor: I am not intending on bashing the customer base. It's just my own personal review.. I was chewing the LONGHORN LONG CUT WINTERGREEN. This wintergreen flavor leaves a horrible salty aftertaste once you remove the dip. I could only handle about 6 dips out of the can before I pitched it and went to a different shop to get my usual brand.

One day I ran out of My Redman Straight and my Uncle who also chews Redman Straight had a sleeve of Longhorn Straight for when he runs out, he gave me a can and I've been chewing it ever since. I like Longhorn Straight, it packs well, tastes really good once you get used to it after a week or so, and it's CHEAP, .... I think it's an all around good snuff.

Longhorn has gotten just as bad as Copenhagen. They are cheating the customer. They are fluffing the cans now. You can open a new can and it looks like there has already been a chew taken out. Copenhagen started this and the price went up. I use to buy Cope for a quarter a can . I quit them because of this very reason. I will start looking again for a full can product that has not been fluffed. I have several friends as well that use this very product and have the same complaints.

Longhorn has been the best alternative to Cope that I could find with the punch. The price was more half per can than Cope, but at Wal-Mart today, Longhorn was 9 bucks a can. Thats right, I said NINE. I don't know what's going on.

This may not be the greatest smokeless tobacco ever made but it is good. Especially for its cheap price. It has a sour and salty taste that I like. A can of Copenhagen costs about $4.00 or higher. People can't afford that price. I only buy one or two cans of Copenhagen a year because it's so damn expensive. I give Longhorn a 4 star rating.
