A favorite of my mom. Pleasing, smooth baritone...and very versatile. When singing along with just about any song that comes on the radio, I catch myself going in to 'Jim Reeves' range, probably because the voice is so familiar to me, and Gentleman Jims' singing style is so fluid and accessible.

Jim Reeves had a smooth, relaxing voice. He could easily record pop music. His recording of "Mexican Joe" was No.6 on BILLBOARD's list of the bestselling c/w records of 1953. (For trivia lovers, the #1 seller, was "Kaw Liga", by Hank Williams). He had a long hitmaking career, with some excellent results in different genres; e.g. hymns, folk, pop, etc! He was a world-wide favorite. For example, he was England's #1 bestselling artist, in 1964. In 1966, he had Britain's #1 selling single of the year, with "Distant Drums". His recording of "He'll Have To Go", is in the Grammy Hall of Fame.
