I have to drown their beef in a pool of A1 steak sauce.

I'd rather drink paint varnish than eat here. I didn't realize that this cheap buffet chain was still in operation. Thought they closed in the '90's.

I didn't have the same experience that "orlandoluv" did. I also went to the one on Murphy Canyon road, and have been 3 times. Every time, I get the same good service, proper cleanliness (except for a table that needed to be bussed, but I, being a laid back person, wasn't bothered by it) good value, and great food, cooked right, and flavorful. The ticket wound up being 16 dollars, had the 8 oz bacon wrapped sirloin, salad bar and drink. As far as the cockroach on the other reviewer's comment of this place, that was probably a definite turn-off for you, but in their defense, pest control in restaurants has always been a continuous battle. I grew up in and around the restaurant industry. I have memories of my Dad, the owner/operator of a buffet in Williamsburg, VA, chasing a mouse around the kitchen with a broom. Here's the disgusting truth: restaurants are infested. Period. So are grocery stores, food plants, farms and gardens. You will never be able to get away from insect or rodent inf... Read more

I gave it one star because i cant give it zero. My friends and i decided to go to a sizzler down the street form us for lunch a couple weeks ago. I always remeebred going as a kid and it w3as great. not to bore tyou to death or anything but the food was simply horrible...but thast no tthe worst part. we are sitting in a booth picking out these hairs form one of the kids plates of food (was there when the server brought it) when all the sudden a ROACH started crawling up the wall of our booth. the manager came out and offered to give us "A FREE SALAD BAR THE NEXT TIME WE CAME IN!" is that crazy or what... i thanked her and said no that i would never be returning to that establishemnt ever again...she paid for our meals and we left. i have never been so disgusted in my life and i hope everyone stays away form this place! its the one is san diego on murphy canyon road! please BEWARE!

Very average steak house. Good salad bar and relatively inexpensive.

I knew New York was over when I overheard an elderly gentleman say to his spouse, "Oh look Dear; a Sizzler!"

They have a decent salad bar with a variety of things to choose from. And with it comes that luscious cheese toast!

Mid-range steak house. Nothing special, nothing terrible.

Is it my imagination or what, but has Sizzler become rather pricey for what you get?  Took my two kids, 3 and 7, the other day (Concord, CA), and the tab came to over $40. I actually did a double take, looking at my receipt to see if all was right... it was.But the food is okay, and will go back; the top sirloin I got was pretty decent. Not truly the budget steakhouse it was when I was younger (actually my first job in 1980). Oh well.

The one here used to have a slammin' salad bar.The steak was pretty tasty, but also on the thin side.Decent prices, but they closed years ago so I don't know how they are nowdays.

Havent been or seen one of these in a while, but the one that was here in my area was way overrated. The food was nasty, and it spoiled my desire to eat at another sizzler again.

Sizzler was pretty good back in the 80's. There were a few particularly good locations in California. The salad bars were good as were the steaks. Then they started to go downhill. There are a couple of Sizzlers not too far from where I live now, but they just aren't the same.

Decent, sometimes. We go there once in a while. Nothing to write home about.

The best thing about Sizzler is their juicy steaks. But their buffets are average though.

This is a review for the Taiwan location...yes, they have a Sizzler here. The salad bar is ok but the steak is terrible, not worth the price. The place is clean but the food sucks.

I *WISH* we still had a Sizzler. They're still around? Back in the day they had these things called corn fritters ... oh man... they were my FAVORITE food as a child. Whenever we would go to Sizzler that was all I'd eat! hehe

Wow, this place really exists? From up here I thought it was almost a fictional place used to describe any cheap, crappy white trash welfare restaurant....I stand corrected....

There is one around the corner from us, and we could not believe how horrible it was. Everything was completely tasteless and the place was quite dirty... yet they are still in business somehow!

I've only been to Sizzler twice, but both experiences were unpleasant. The last time I went, I ordered king crab legs. The shells were rubbery, & when I could finally get them open, they oozed a pink liquid. Needless to say, I lost my appetite.

There's something to be said for a place that serves massive amounts of medium grade meat and potatos. If was the meat was a little better I would probably go to this place every once in a while.
