The food is only fair in my area (Upstate New York). The restaurant nearest my house at Hamburg, New York is really the pits. When it first opened, around 6 years ago, it was really good. Now the place is filthy, the service is slow and the food is a real disappointment. The only time it seems busy is in the mornings or when the seniors are there for the early bird special.

I've eaten at one of these, their location in Kelowna, British Columbia. After that experience I won't be eating at any more of them. Loathesome, overpriced, so called food, served in an atmosphere as sterile as an operating theatre.

I like to go here for breakfast, because I can order lunch at that time. I'm not a fan of breakfast foods! I love their balanced meals....salisbury steak w/mashed potatoes & gravy, broccoli and a side salad, and comes with garlic bread! Or swiss chciken over rice with baked potato and green beans, with salad and garlic bread. Pretty great! Lots of MSG in the dishes though! VERY reasonably priced for what you get!! A whole full meal less then $10.00! Waitresses seem unknowledgable about the menu, all the time, no matter which Perkinds I go to, though! Also like the seafood platter, very filling! Then there is the chicken alfredo which is fantastic!

It's basically a breakfast place, like IHOP. The quality varies greatly from location to location. Generally, you will not be thrilled to death by eating at Perkins, but you won't be grossed out or poisoned either.

I have not been there very much so the taste of Perkins' foodstuffs are Not memorable to me. I assume the food I had there was reasonably good but I think that the rating of "great" should generally be reserved for what you can remember; I tend to remember when food is kind of bland and I do not remember my Perkins' meal as being bland.

Breakfast is their specialty. It is a little disappointing. Portions are small for the price. Food is somewhat tasteless. The restaraunt is not clean enough in the dining area so I shudder to think what the kitchen looks like.

I ate at Perkins this morning. The worst.... Iasked for bacon and eggs, hash browns, and toast. Sounds pretty easy. Not for them. When I got there, it a\was not very busy, (about 8 am), It took 45 minutes to almost 1 hour to get...eggs over hard (asked for over easy), taost without butter, cold bacon, and no hash browns. Other people were getting there orders before me who came in after me. To say nothing of it costing $10.00 plus tax for this. When I went to pay the bill, I was asked how it was, I told them what had happened, and the girl said, "that's too bad". This was in amherst NY. I will never go back..

I work at Perkins in Madison, WI. It is unbelievable how they will hire anybody, train them poorly and then stick them on the floor. The corporate culture is very much to blame for the poor service as they focus on such unimportant statistics such as turn time(how long you sit at tour table) instead of focusing on service. I have 6 years of restaurant experience and like to think that I know what I am doing but am tired of continually having to make amends for my fellow employees who just don't care and face no repercussions for not caring.

The children's hamburger meals were raw. Disgusting. Will never go to another Perkins. Manager acted as if I was bothering him when I showed him the meal.

The very anithesis of what normal humans are supposed to consume, a veritable haunted house for the palate. The Limp Bizkit of breakfast places. A culinary Frankenstein. Probably radioactive.

I like Perkins. Probably one the better family style chain restaurants. Better than IHOP and Friendly's. But for some reason, they're only located in small hick towns. I've never encountered a Perkin's in a somewhat urban neighborhood.

We used to have one, but not for a very long time now. When we were down in TN we stopped by one and it was a very good experience.

Best place to be go to breakfast between 2:00 and 5:00 in the morning. The food isnt' the greatest in the world, but its decent and reasonably priced, and I have lots of good memories of this place from college.

Worst restaurant I've ever eaten in. The food is the absolute worst, like school lunch food.

again like IHOP, an institution that is evidence of the utter mastery Americans have over the meal of breakfast....

I am tempted to give it 2 stars because many locations are open 24 hrs and that is honorable. However, Perkins is a godless society in the one niche that requires some down home atmosphere and orginallity. Very salty food and I am not sensitive to salt.

If the management is good, the restaurant is great. Varies hugely by location.

Perkins is OK, but there's nothing particularly special about it. Their mozzerella sticks are mediocre and their food is sometimes good, but their Mashed potatoes are always cold.

I guess the only thing I can really say here is that some are better than others. The food is generally decent in most of them. But there are two Perkins restaraunts near where I used to live. One generally has decent service, the other has some of the worst service I have ever seen.

REG RATING: 2.5 stars:::::this place is wierd. I only have eaten there once in the medina, ohio locaion. the fries were decient but not as good as mickeyD's or BK's they are to mushy, oh well. I ate chicken strips there they were a tad overdone and they had black stuff on the outside. then when we had brekfast there I nearly puked up my pancke. they were way too sweet and I told them to not put too much syrup on mine and it had too much syrup and it made the pancake too soggy. the only brekfast food I liked there was the sausage and gravy, I liked dipping the buiscuits in it. therwise, they are not as good as others in the same class. the place also was a tad to sticky and too crowded.

The breakfasts are delicious! Huge pancakes. Tasty omelets with a variety of fillings. Fresh, moist muffins direct from their in-house bakery. The long wait lines are a testament to their food quality.

In grew up going to Perkins. I would always go to Perkins after I went to my day camp, but they had to shut down because their business went down the tubes. There's not many around anymore, and I can see shy. People don't appreciate good healthy cooking like I did.
