 | Yogurt (15) 06/11/2007 | That would definitely disgust me. Like a crunchy Peppermint Patty that doesn't taste good.

 | BlueOrchid (43) 05/22/2007 | They might still be alive after all of that torture you put them through just to kill and serve them!

 | BugahaNE (19) 12/18/2005 | There is no way in hell I would eat them, they live off of filth.

 | kamylienne (80) 08/28/2005 | No thanks. I am absolutely terrified of cockroaches (I know, they can't really hurt me, and I know that there's no rationale behind it, it's just that I can't stand 'em. I have gotten to the point where I won't kill one, but I won't go near it, either.) They don't look too appetizing.
BTW, Thanks for the heads-up, Sundiszno; I'll have to keep that one in mind! ACKKK! They dont' happen to be those hissing cockroaches, would they? Those things make my skin crawl!

 | Sundiszno (32) 08/28/2005 | I don't think I could be tempted to try roaches under anythging approaching normal circumstances - maybe if I were out of food and stranded somewhere and desperate for protein I'd swallow my pride (and a roach or two!). Otherwise, forget it. By the way Kamy, in Florida I believe they dignify their cockroaches with the somewhat pleasant sounding name of Palmetto bugs - translation : BIG cockroaches!

 | Aphrodite_pink (0) 08/28/2005 | Pretty gross ... but I would at least TRY it if it were placed in front of me, even if I were then to spit it out again. If someone told me that they were not always safe to eat due to disease or something, I think I would pass on it, but if they are generally known to be safe I probably would give it a go. I have a rule that I will always try new things as you never know what you could be missing out on.

 | texasyankee (22) 08/23/2005 | Another food people from asia eat.. with such delight they actually LOOK for sellers of bugs and grubs once they get to the US where chicken pork and beef are found in great abundance. EW!
EDIT: I'll stick to my garlic knots thank you ;)

 | Gentle Jude (25) 08/23/2005 | Apparently, they are meant to have a garlic flavor to them. I don't think I want to find out! They would be bad for you to eat because cockroaches carry disease. Plus they hand around in bins.
