I believe we all become fearful at times. We can say that we don't fear, but when we're up against something, that's when the true test of time comes.3

Fear is a very crippling thing to overcome, but it is not the greatest thing. Usually confidence in oneself can overcome fear because usually more confident people have less fear. Fear is a result of a deep felt concern that you are not able to handle a particular situation or consequence, therefore fear is a thing which prevents you from going through that thing. It is more insecure people who are likely to have fear. But the greatest thing to overcome is not even pride, but selfishness. Selfishness is the root to all evil. Every sin that comes including apathy is the result of some form of selfishness. If we can overcome our self, we are true victors and fear will be a peace of cake to overcome!3

I definitely agree that fear can be overcome. It can be crippling if you let it get a hold on you. I still have stage fright when I have to speak before a group of people, probably always will but I overcome it by facing my fear head on. I ask myself what is the worst thing that can happen? Other than passing out! Seriously though, there is an acronym for fear that I read once, False Evidence Appearing Real, so true. I noticed that this list included as the most contagious spirit, enthusiasm. I also believe that fear can be a highly contagious spirit as well and can spread quickly if left unchecked. 7

I disagree. Fear is limiting, but it can be overcome more easily than: apathy. Apathy is the achilles heel of an individual and the world at large. 4

Fear is destructive and destroys lives. Most things people fear are in the unknown category. Dwelling on fear leads to a lot of other problems such as illness and emotional issues. I would strongly recommend that you deal with fear issues before they conquer you. Seek counseling from a doctor or a pastor. Please do not ignore fear.4
