08/21/2005 | Ketchup shouldn't go on a hotdog. I've heard that this will even get you beaten up in places like Chicago.
The only time I wanted to kill a friend involves ketchup. I was saving the seats at a movie and asked him to grab me a jumbo dog. He brings it back drenched in ketchup. I told him he could eat it and to give me my money back.

08/08/2005 | If you're ever in Syracuse, NY, go to Liverpool (NW of city) on Route 57 to Heid's hot dog stand. They've served the best hot dogs year 'round for something like 80 years. A little advice: order the double hot dog in the single bun, but don't look for ketchup. Whatever you do, don't ask one of the employees for ketchup. You won't get ketchup, you'll get an attitude-laden, insulting lecture about all of the condiments they offer and why. Even if you like ketchup on your hot dog, and you find yourself in Syracuse, go to Heid's. Go to Dinosaur Bar-B-Q for dinner, though.

EDIT: hehe @ lance... yea my daughter (who is now 19) still puts ketchup on her chicken. I have to leave the room when she does that. It's disgusting.

08/08/2005 | I have to rate this as it's probably the only time in the history of RIA that me and CanadaSucks are going to agree: Ketchup on a hotdog is positively un-American! My son- due to the unfortunate influence of his mother's condiment affinities- eats ketchup on just about every damn thing- chicken and dogs included. This is an apostasy!
