Isn't this the only reason why you should support a party...because you believe their policies are the right ones for most people? (And that's a tough thing these days.) 2

Well duh. As long as Democratic politicians stick to Democratic principles (environment, human rights, more social programs), then I'm all for it.2

I tend to believe in what Liberals believe in. I want to believe that things like a Clean Enviromnemt, Fair Housing and Health Care and Fair hiring practices that encorporate more diverity in the Workplace are good things. The thing that bothers me about the Liberal perspective is the idea of being soft on crime ( even though the crime rate went down under Clinton) and the tendency to not want to use miliary force when a situation might call for it. I'm really concerned about a strong economy because that dictates how either side's policies and initiative will be approached. I credit Clinton for running an efficient Government that allowed him to address some of his Liberal policies and initiatives.2
