Who in hell wipes their ass with a paper towel, unless in desperation? Likewise, who mops up spills with toilet paper? As far as I'm concerned, whatever toilet paper is on sale that doesn't show a sandpaper grade is ok.

Call me a hard ass but I really don't find the quest for the perfect toilet paper to be commanding a lot of personal mindshare. I don't want to be getting paper cuts or exfoliating while I'm there but I don't care for the image of pillows or soft white kittens that some advertisers would like me to associate with their products either. As for paper towels, I think I bought a four pack around 2002 and haven't used it up yet. Dishtowels and cleaning rags do that work without the necessity of killing trees.

This may be the Holy Grail of personal hygiene. Soft is utterly important.

This is still not an issues for me, I have other things to worry about for now. Is this something people talk about? I never thought about this one...

Exactly the same opinion I have of both toilet paper and paper towels.

I finally found the perfect toilet paper!! I used to use Charmin Plus-the one with aloe and vitamin E. Well, they changed it a while back and this new stuff was so linty, I couldn't stand it. And it would not flush. It took it several minutes to even sink in the toilet bowl. So I tried Northern, it was soft and thick but again, it was pretty linty-not as bad as Charmin Plus but bad enough. So I bought Cottonelle Ultra, I love it. It's soft, strong, and NOT linty. I am so glad I decided to try this one. As far as paper towels, I love Bounty Select a Size. I don't use kitchen or bathroom hand towels, they carry too many germs. I have paper towel holders in my bathroom and kitchen, it's what my guests use as well as myself. I can't stand going in someone's house and having to dry my hands on hand towels, all I can think of is germs! So I use paper towels and most of my guests have never seen anyone put paper towels in the bathroom but they like the idea. I think some of them have now swi... Read more

White Cloud.  I HATE Scott.  It's like sandpaper.

So long as they're 2-PLY, and fairly good quality, this doesn't matter to me. If it gets the job done, I'm fine with that.

scott and cottonelle are made from ancient forest pulp. There is no recycled fiber, or any post-consumer waste in it. That is what the maker, kimberly-clark does to all of their products, including kleenex. A perfect alternative to scott would be marcal. It's exactly the same thing, only recycled. It also feels the same. Very good, and cheap.

Cottonelle is by far the best TP available...unfortunately, it clogged my toilets in two different homes. Can't use it anymore.

We switched to Cottonelle with aloe and vitamin e about a month or so ago. Had to get a plumber out to auger our sewer line. He said he thought it was the toilet paper, as a few whole sheets floated up. I'll never buy that stuff again; cost me $150 for the plumber

toilet paper top-notch. paper towels excellent. well-priced and according to plumbers the best for preventng plumbing problems.(the toilet paper, not to flush paper towels!) regular Scott tissue and paper towels. also like the way the toilet paper is individually wrapped, so it's easier to grab when you need them.

I honestly can't stand Charmin, because it is too linty, but Cottonelle Ultra is the best darn toilet paper on the market, I once bought Quilted Northern, because it claimed it was Ultra being extra thick and absorbant, my other half noticed right away and asked why I bought "this crap" I said "to save a few cents" I knew after one use that it didn't come close to the quality of Cottonelles Ultra thick, soft and absorbent toilet paper. However their wipeys are a differnt story, they changed the box and with it the quality which I plan to write them about, but their wipes are not moist anymore and what the heck is the point if they are not moist! Bounty for paper towels is a must as it is the toughest I have found!

Check out Costco's own brand "Kirtland" paper towels. Amazing. Thick, strong, big and a great deal.

i'm not going to spend a mint on T.P. but i also don't like the cheapest either cuz thats what it is-cheap. angel soft is middle of the two and there has been no complaints. i don't buy paper towels often though i really should cuz there are so many times they would come in handy.

If I've learned anything in this life, it's that cheap toilet paper isn't worth a sh*t, literally. Cheap toilet paper cost more in the long run, because you need more of it. Really good toilet last longer (and feels better), and the best one out there is Charmin, in the long run, you get more for your money.

Totally wasted on me. Besides the rough as newspaper toilet paper, I usually just buy which ever's the cheapest and as far as paper towels go, I don't use them. Just have a large pile of kitchen wash rags, which scrub far better than that ultimate 3 dollar a roll paper towel!

I like the Scott toilet paper the best. Because it lasts longer. I never cared for the soft tissue. Maybe i have been used to Scotts for so long. I dont know.

I don't care, for the most part. But, my husband insists on getting the absolute softest T.P. available. If it came in 8-ply, he'd get it. I don't care, but it's still kind of funny to see that he's so finicky about it.
