This group is about as relevant politically as the Whigs.

I am not a feminist by any means, though I support equal pay for equal work. These ladies are really harmless, and the only folks foolish enough to fear them are hysterical male chauvinists.

Well,it's almost 2006 and women still do not really have equality. We are big hypocrites to talk about "liberating" the women of Iraq while American Women are still subject to all kinds of bias, stereotyping and lower wages.Germany has just elected it's first woman Chancellor-I guess they are more advanced.

Should be called the Nazi organization for Women. They turn women into Nazis who persecute and kill men. Their evil goal-turn the U.S. into a Nazi society where women will rule and men and boys will be persecuted and have their freedoms and rights taken away.

Does this organization still exist? Didn't they change from N.O.W. to the N.O.D.W (National Organization for Democratic Women)?

From what I could gather during the Clinton Administration, apparently they feel suggestive remarks or uninvited overtures from men in authority are a crime against humanity unless that invididual is a Pro-Abortion, feminism-favoring president of the United States. In that situation, it well...uh-is-really-none-of-our-business...it's-between-him-and-his-wife. In these circumstances, dropping your pants in front of a married campaign worker's face and grabbing the breasts of the wife of a man who is suicidal is OK ... or at least not worthy of the histrionics and Barbara Boxer's nostril snorting, breathy speeches that are usually reserved for confirmation hearings of black conservative Supreme Court justices.

I single issue organization devoted only to the promotion of liberal women who ardently defend the absolute right to murder the unborn. Women have long since been equal in the workplace and have exceeded men in salary for certain positions. But NOW isn't really about equality for all women- just liberal women who agree with their leftist agenda. And then people wonder when its pointed out that the seeds of tyranny are born in Kantian ethics.

Yes, there probably are feminists who hate men and some actual 'femi-nazis' out there, but I've never met a one. NOW isn't one of those groups Bill O'Reilly likes to make up in his head.

Take it from someone who has been through undergrad and graduate school- NOW chicks can be annoying. . .but the RIA obsession with bashing this group smacks of intellectual and philosophical insecurity. Sure, some of them hate men. . .but not the ones that I knew. Why the hatred of groups of people that share leftist sensibilities? Grow up. . .

My position on NOW has always been that they damage the women's rights movement more than they help it (if at all). Ever see a NOW rally? I've seen more maturity at pre-schools...

NOW has lost credibility with the majority of women today because they have moved so far to the left, they can bare be seen any longer. At one time, they were a useful organization as trail blazers in corporations, medicine, the media, etc. But over the years, they seem to have lost their focus and gained an incredible amount of venomous hatred of men and conservative women of any kind. They do not bring any peace to this country. In fact, they stir the pot whenever they can. If they truly want to be effective, they should be including and helping women from all walks of life and differing opinions. But all that seems to matter to them these days is that lesbians be allowed to marry and abortion be kept legal (oh, and NO Christianity should EVER be allowed. Anywhere!). At one time, I suppose, it must have been a wonderful feeling to have been a part of a group to further the rights of women in this country. Today, I think, it is mostly a joke. And THAT is a very big shame (on them!).

I am proud to say this 'organization' of baby hating, men hating, selfish, self-serving, venom spewing 'women' do not represent me in any way!
