Solid pick. I enjoy the fact that this stuff is some what affordable and has been aged for 12 years. Which really brings out the flavor.

Overrated. While good, it's sharper notes kept this from being all it's cracked up to be. Still, 4.5.

I inherited most of bottle from my wife's grandfather. It didn't go by the name of OFGVSB,but something like "Old Fitzgerald Rare". I can't recall the exact name as this was several years ago, and I have not found it since. After spending years with Jack Daniels and Wild Turkey (both of which will "flavor" reality rather well), the taste of this was very much smoother and much to my liking. Several of my bourbon drinking friends agreed during the several months we killed the bottle. This is excellent, though hard to find. A clear runner up however (and much easier to find) is Maker's Mark. This has replaced OFG in my cabinet primarily for reasons of availablity if not price.

Good sipping, great mixer. Woodsy and one of the top bourbons available. Good value at $45.
