GDS? This is a very, very, very difficult subject for me and, perhaps, talking about it will help me to cope. Thank you in advance for listening...I had Levis that were distinctly worn in the knees and they were my comfort clothes. They fit perfectly and had been washed so many times that they morphed into velvet. When I would come home, I'd go right for them. I never wore them out of the house. When I put them on, I felt like a Knight.Together, were created a kind of exo-fabric harmonics. They helped to wash away stress; food tasted better and my plants were happier. But, I think that Stark was afraid that I would embarrass her by wearing them out of the house one day. In the end, I blame myself for assuming that she knew how I felt about those Levis...because one day I came home and went right for them and they had been turned into cut-offs. My Levis had been assassinated! A stroke and heart attack soon followed. But, like I said, it was my fault. And poor Stark...years later...can't s... Read more

Wearing jeans from new until they disintegrate: Cool and comfortable.Purposely trying to make jeans look as if you've worn them from new until they disintegrate: Kinda corny.Buying (at exorbitant prices) jeans that have been manufactured to look as if you wore them from new until they disintegrate: Beneath contempt.

I never understood this fashion. Some people will spend $100 on a pair of jeans that are threadbare and full of holes, but when my $20 jeans start looking like that, I'm throwing them in the trash.

My oldest sister, being a teen in this time, not only had the biggest and scariest hair, but she also had the jeans down pat. Ripped ALL the way across at the knee, complete with the messy fringe of strings hanging from the opening. And they had to be drawn on, too, with various colors of ink.
