Didn't watch it. I was a culturally deprived child of immigrants. I heard there's more than one out there.....

I wish I still had my Han Solo blaster. That thing is probably worth alot of money.
UPDATE: Impact indeed. Even though it kicked off in 1977, Star Wars owned the early '80s and to this day it influences culture, language, and even how people have sex since we all know some freaks break out the Leia slave girl costume in the bedroom. You're welcome, RIA. I know the last one was good yet bad...

I still remember the year it came out: my family was on vacation in Florida, and needing something to do, we went to see a matinee showing in Melbourne, if I remember right. I didn't hate it, but I wasn't really interested either (although I did have a mild crush on Carrie Fisher for about 3 or 4 minutes after seeing it). I did see one of the sequels in a Times Square theatre some years later in between hitting the bars and Tad's Steak House-- again, I didn't hate it, but it didn't really interest me either. In fairness to George Lucas, though, I don't particularly like Star Trek either.

Return of The Jedi is one of my favorite movies, in the original series, next to Empire Strikes Back.

I remember seeing the '77 version when I was thirteen. Waited in line with my best friend... I thought it was well worth the wait.

One of the best movies in the 80's. The original trilogy is way better than the new ones. The original characters and cast. They're just way better.

you can call me a nerd...I thought/think star wars is great. **The only problem i see with making the final three is it could mess up my whole concept of star wars. I felt a great deal of closure after seeing this last one, I feel like we learn pretty much all of darth vaders story, and we already know lukes so the final three would have to introduce new characters and disrupt all of it. (just a thought, but if the movies actually do get made i'll be in the theater anyway.)

Hate to break it to you, Ignatius, but the Star Wars movies are George Lucas, not Spielberg. At any rate, that seems like a fairly good plan. If they do ever green light the last three episodes, though, I REALLY hope he lets someone else write them. I found episodes 1-3 to be very flat.
