Dear Scoop Away - HATE the new packaging! I'm not sure who should be fired first...the person who designed the new packaging or the person who approved the design of the new packaging. I mean, really. The new "Easy Carry Handle" is anything but. I'm not an idiot but it must have taken me almost a minute to figure out how to even pull the handle away from the packaging. And the handle does nothing to make carrying this awkward, HEAVY bag easier. My mom is 69 and would love to have a cat. Unfortunately, she lives alone and cannot manage to carry such heavy litter containers (the old one and the new one). And don't even start me on the opening of this new bag and getting the litter out. Suffice to say, the little zipper thingy pulled right off the end and I had to thread it back on to close the bag. And since the bag has no structure like the previous bucket, lifting the bag to pour out the litter is disastrous. We love your litter as do our three cats, but we'll be shopping ... Read more

I HATE the new packaging! It is difficult to open, it's awkward to carry, and the opening is too small. I have to use a scoop to add litter to the box and the small opening in the bag makes it almost impossible. I use a scoop because it's too heavy to lift and pour. I love the way it clumps and seems to really control any odor but I may have to go back to Tidy Cat simply because of the packaging.

I really like Scoop Away better than other formulas, but my gripe is with the packaging. I'm in my late-60's and don't have a lot of hand strength. Also, I'm also not supposed to lift heavy items. The plastic tub was impossible for me to open and I had to wait until someone could help. The new packaging isn't much better. Can't you just make a cardboard pkg. that is easy to open all the way around so someone like me could bend over and scoop the litter out???

Scoop Away is the best kitty litter I have ever found. The urine dosen't sink to the bottom of the box and it clumps very tightly.(little clumps that are floating on top of the sand)whew!!It is so easy to maintain my litter box now!! I hate the kind of litter that lets urine sink to the bottom of the box and it sticks like cement. That was always such a chore. Thank You Scoop away!!!!!! :)

It's an okay product. But, certainly not the best. I've heard about cats getting the crystals stuck on them; it never happened to me. I used it for my three males (all indoor) about three times. Back then, the clumping was great. it was easy to clean and the smell of the litter scared the dogs from eating cat poop. And, our house didn't smell of cat piss anymore. But, the product has changed a lot and after the third time, I stopped using it.

Horrible ! Beware !! after 1 week of use I had to take my 8 mo old into ER for surgery, these crystal formed inside her bottom ! The cost: over $250 not to mention the unnecessary pain my kitten endured !!!

I used to use Scoop Away but I won't buy it again because it no longer clumps well [if at all !]. By the time I get the scoop under the damp area the "clump" has Disintegrated. Sorry, I used to like it!

This has been the best litter I have used yet. I try others and keep coming back to it because it really controls the odor and clumps GREAT! It is really easy to clean the litter box. I have Four cats and 2 litter boxes. I've been using the Scoop Away Multiple Cat Formula. The only bad thing is it is really dusty, when you sift through it, or pour it in the box ( a cloud of dust comes out around the box and hovers for about 5 min then settles) I have allergies and asthma so it does bother my asthma whenever I clean it. and does concern me about my lungs and my cats lungs. ( wich is everyday sometimes every other) SO if anyone has any good suggestions for me please tell me. I also would like to find out what ingredients are in this that might be bothering me.

This litter has worked the best for my two indoor cats. It clumps great. It does have a perfumey scent which I find lingers a little on my kitties. Though it's not strong on them and it's noticeable only right after they've used the litterbox. But, it really helps with odor. I do clean the litterbox every day-occasionally every other day, I have a hooded litterbox with a charcoal filter. When I take the hood off to clean it, I don't get hit in the face with ammonia smell. I think it's important to note that it has a low kick-up of powder that the cats might breathe-vs. some which are much worse.

Clumps very tightly, making cleaning the litter box very easy. Clumps the tightest of any litter I've tried. I bought the scented Fresh Scent rather than the unscented Free, but haven't noticed much perfume odor. Not flushable, but those of us who live near water (rivers, ocean, lakes) shouldn't use the flushable kind anyway (the parasite in cat feces kills wildlife that lives in water, including sea otters).

Since Scoop Away has changed it's product. The clumping power has been lost. It does not clump to the cats pee or poop very well and ends up making more of a mess in the litter box, litter scoop, etc.

I haven't used all the fancy special ones, but I've tried various clumping brands. This one's clumps are the clumpiest. Fresh Step & Tidy Cat don't clump nearly as solidly.

I just started using this litter and find that it clumps well and seems to control the odor well, but has a VERY perfume like smell. If that bothers you, I would not buy this. It bothered me some and bothered my husband alot, so we will have to use a different clumping litter.
