I like to slowly cook my pot roast (chuck) in a crock pot. I add potatoes, onions, minced garlic, carrots, garlic salt and pepper. I've never tried it with bay leaf, gonna have to try it. I agree Sparks42, its great with homemade bread on the side. I also like to eat this with fresh french bread from the bakery and some Country Crock Butter. 1

Yum. Lean chuck roast with potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic and bay leaf cooked slowly in a Crock Pot. Thicken up the juices a little bit with cornstarch. Hot, steamy homemade bread on the side. This is a great dish when there is a snowstorm.1

Destefanotx, you took the words right out of my mouth. I like it when it just falls apart when you just pick it up. I cook mine in a cast iron pot.3
