Tallinn is the capital of Estonia, a country in Northern Europe that borders the Baltic Sea and Finland. Located on the north coast of Estonia near the Baltic Sea, Tallinn is the country’s main seaport. Major tourist attractions in Tallinn include its old town, Alexander Nevski Cathedral, and the tower at St. Olaf’s Church which, when it was built in the 15th century, was the tallest tower in Europe and may have been the tallest building in the world at the time. The estimated population of Tallinn is 402,000 residents. (Add picture)

I liked this town so much, I went there twice last summer! Visit the Kompressor bar for Guiness stout - $1 pints during happy hour. Great food, too!

The Soviet Empire ignored this old city, the best thing it could have done. Ancient walls and structures are now being restored and close cooperation with Scandinavian cousins has produced charm, beauty, and great knit goods!!!
