You get what you pay for. It's perfect for mixing but it's definitely not as smooth as the higher end vodkas. I would have given it a 2 but for the price I give it a 3.

I really like it. I like the Citrus one more. But, This goes great with other drinks and it is a favorite to me.

Tastes fine as a shot. Tastes great mixed. No bad taste or after taste at all. What surprised me is how little it took, mixed with OJ, to get drunk. I've been drinking Whiskey lately - good Whiskey that has great taste - but this has more of a quick and powerful punch if you want a good buzz.

Mediocre at best. Nowhere near Pearl and Tito's in quality. Buy Wolfschmidt's and bank the difference.

I have to admit I was a sucker for the cobalt blue bottle and the classy "Old Hollywood" advertisements that first made Skyy known to me. Thankfully, it is not just all in the advertising. It is actually a good, smooth vodka. I rank it along with Absolut and other 4-stars in my opinion.

Excellent. Great taste mixed and goes down smooth as a shot. Decent price and much better than the so called top shelf which are double the price in some places. You can't go wrong with it. I've made believers out of all my friends.

This is a good vodka, not quite as smooth as some others I've tasted, but is far better than many not to mention the decent price tag.  You will often find a bottle of this in my liquor cabinet.

Moderately priced and pretty smooth. I use it for shots.

Skyy vodka comes in a pretty blue bottle and is an excellent treatment for insect bites or foot odor (you can soak your socks in it), but I don't recommend that you drink it.

There will always be a place in my heart for the cobalt blue.  Have drank more Skyy than any other vodka.  You can not beat this vodka for its mid range pricetag.  Don't be fooled by all the flavored varieties that have been introduced the last few years, stick with the original "vodka vodka."  Many claim it is hangover free, I would not go that far but this is definitely a good, fun drunk.  Try it on the rocks with a splash of 7.  This is about all I drank in college in the mid 90's but I have since taken up whiskey.

Sky is ok but a little harsh. I prefer smoother vodkas. But it is one of the better ones in its price range.

I've been drinking vodka (straight on the rocks) for 30 years. Most vodkas are fine (or better than fine). This stuff is junk...like Koolaid for drunks.

I agree, I also think its better than Absolut. Skyy is my favorite vodka, especially for the price. i think this company was smart by pricing it right in between Smirnoff and the super premiums. It falls in that "well, if I spend only 3 more dollars I can have Skyy" category. As you can tell, this happens to me quite often.

This is a wonderful mixer. I personally can't stand to take shots of any type of vodka, its not really suppose to be the most smooth liquor. I mean c'mon, Russians? There is'nt anything smooth about Russia, including the liquor. Skyy is an amazing mixer, plus the price is wonderful for the product. Plus, according to research, it is the most pure vodka on the market.

not bad for an American vodka- relatively smooth- but not refined. very neutral-price is ok. The citrus and berry flavors are better.

Independent lab testing concluded that SKYY vodka had the lowest amount of impurities in the world. The ENTIRE WORLD. That ranks it more pure than Smirnoff, Absolut, Chiroc, Grey Goose, all of the expensive ones that overcharge you. Just because It's expensive doesn't make it the best. If SKYY priced it's vodka at $52.00 a bottle people would praise it like crazy. Plus...for all of you who are saying it's too strong out of a shotglass, What do you expect from an 80 proof liquor?? It's not going to slide down like water.

Certainly, the best American vodka. Not as smooth as Stoli or Ketel 1, has a hint of bitter taste, still and all it rates a 4.5 with me.

Skyy Vodka is my favorite Vodka for the price. It's one of the only ones whose flavor stands out to me, aside from the cheapie vodkas which taste harsh to me. I love the flavor and after tatse. Has almost a kind of buttery taste. I don't like vodka as shots, but this is a great mixer as it keeps it's flavor and combines great with juices.

Better than Absolut. Makes a decent martini, makes a decent shot, and mixes very will with any juice. Tasted this next to Absolut and Smirnoff.

If this vodka cost twice as much it would be the top rated in the group. Consumers are funny animals. Once again, America does it best.

The ONLY way you can drink this is to mix it. Shots of this are nauseating (literally). Cheap and reminds me of lighter fluid. Spend the money to buy something better, spare your throat.

I think some of you who are answering that this vodka is too strong have got to stop raiding their parents' liquor cabinets and concentrate on studying for that big leap from middle school into high school. This stuff is smoothe and pure and oh so nice. I rank it right up there with grey goose for mixing purposes. A real treat and a great mixer or shooter. Maxim mag recently rated it one of the top 5 purest vodkas on the market.

Excellant vodka, better than Absolut (rated better by the pros and cheaper too!). Shots are very smooth, if you don't like a strong shot, don't drink vodka.

Skyy Vodka has a great bottled appearance and very good marketing. But the vodka itself doesn't live up to its image. It makes for an average mixed drink and a cheap shot, but it's just not as smooth as it appears it would be.

For some reason it tastes nasty. Does not go down smooth. Had a little before, and ended up throwing it away. For vodka, it is cheap.

This vodka is great because for the price, it is very tasty as a shooter or for a mixer. The Skyy vodka is especially good when mixed with cranberry juice because it allows me to disguise the Skyy vodka flavor into a flavorful beverage. I personally recommend this drink, but beware because you may not taste the vodka and its effects may creep up on you.

This is some hard stuff. You can feel it go all the way down as you feel that gush of alcohol go through your nose. I like this stuff, but sometimes it just hits me too hard. Most of my friends with high alcohol tolerance can't take too many shots of this. Perhaps two or three is enough.
