I have to retain a lawyer for my divorce, and have spoken and met with 4 different ones. Kenny Leigh of Leigh, James and Associates was by far the most knowledgeable and was willing to work hard for exactly what I wanted. He did a great job!

There is never a good time to get a lawyer. My family and I have been so fortunate to have had Leigh, James & Associates in our corner. Kenny Leigh is a caring, aggressive and intelligent attorney. His staff, from the secretaries to his associate counsel are top notch. Mr. Leigh's firm represented me in a difficult divorce case. His advice to me was right on point. He made all important court appearances. Additionally, the attorney that he assigned to my case was so knowledgeable about the law and was an strong advocate for me. This law firm is of the highest quality.

Divorce is the most difficult time for many including me. My divorce went all the way to a mandatory settlement conference. During each step, Kenny Leigh of Leigh, James & Associates told me the goals and direction. He was professional in court and my outcome was better than I had hoped due to his research and dilligence. Kenny helped me understand the legal documents and what steps to take in the future for modification when or if I needed it. He responded quickly to my e-mail and always helped. YOUR MONEY IS BETTER SPENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I hired Kenny and his firm a couple of years ago, before they moved to their new fancy office, and had less staff. "MEN ONLY LAW FIRM" REEL'S YOU IN HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER! Excellent marketing, sucky law firm. Just remember as in real life all promises spoken don't mean thing if it's not on paper! and legally binding! All I wanted out of the deal was a simple modification of support, with the down economy my income dropped within the 20% range and was in danger of losing my job, it fell within the guidelines for modifcation. Kenny promised absolutely he could lower my payments $200.00-$300.00 easy, sure no problem? Long story short at arbitration he folded over like a deck of cards. My X has played this game before she quit her job or suddenly became unemployed before arbitration, but found the money to fly more then half way across the country to be there in person. I used Leigh, James & Associates for a child support modification and they did an excellent job. I got everything I asked for. My attorney was very attentive. and always returned my phone calls and e-mails. I was told during my consultation that my phone calls were always returned within 24 hours. And they always did. I wish I had used them for my divorce 12 years ago, but they didn't exist back then. I had an excellent experience, and they made this process very easy.

With what I have been through one thing is sure I could not have done it alone. I chose Leigh, James and Associates mainly because of the commercials and the fact that they only represented men. The last several months have been tough for me personally and I did not want to deal with a lot of the details, my attorney talked me through it and let me just put it in his hands. I wouldn't want to go through the process again but I was glad to have these guys on my side. They provided me with the information so I could make the best decision for my life. I would not hesitate to use these guys again. It wasn't cheap, but I wasn't looking for cheap, I was looking for someone who would fight for me.

This guys are on radio TV non stop so just think how can they do that they have to take someones money in order to be able to to that. When you go for a hearing of any kind they will let it slide by then charge you crazy for appeal and when ever you try to bring some evidance in the case they will tell you save it for the trail. Please don't make the same mastake like I did. They will take your money and left you hanging. They have this charges where they charge you for case update and you never know what they did. PLEASE BE AWARE AND THEY WILL ASK YOU FOR SMALL MONEY TO START BUT IN THE END IT WILL COAST YOU A LOT MORE AND WORST THING IS THEY WILL NOT GET ANYTHING DONE! THIS GUYS ARE BAD BAD.

don't fall for the fact that they tell you it will run you this much then on the end is double that please stay a way from this guys they will take your money and live you hanging!

Just a quick update on the last rating now am at $10,000 with no results try to resolve the case with Kenny and got this email from him after I called and said I will file a complain he called me and said that he don't care I can do what ever I want just wanted to call me and tell me that. Then call me few minutes later and offer me $2500 credit I email him my problems and he send me this. Take a note where he said if I do this he will sue me AND ALL I SAID IT WAS THAT I WILL FILE A COMPLAIN WITH THE STATE SINCE NO ONE WOULD RETURN MY CALL AND SEE WHAT I GET. I will not address the items in your e mail as they are completely wrong. You left out the entire part where we appealed the magistrate’s order and received a great ruling. Out of all the research I have done to find the best attorney in the Jacksonville market that specialize in Family Law, Leigh James and Associates was bar far the best out there. Dealing with family issues is never good but the team at Leigh James and Associates was there to help every step of the way. I would recommend them for any one that has to go through a divorce.

Retaining Kenny Leigh's council of Leigh, James and Associates was absolutely the best decision I could have made. I am 100% positive that the outcome would have been 180 degrees in the oposite direction without Mr. Leigh's expertise and professionalism. I loved the fact that he only represented men because it gave me great peace of mind that there was a firm that had a man's best interests at heart. I don’t know how anyone can give a bad rating for this law firm. This firm won me custody of my children. Yes, they are expensive, but you get what you pay for. When my bill started getting real high, they put me on a very affordable payment plan rather than terminate their representation of me. I don’t know of any attorneys with a payment plan like this. My attorney was always available to talk to me, or returned my call within a reasonable amount of time. If my attorney was going to be tied up in court, the paralegal returned my call to let me know. I feel that the firm handled my needs with respect and not only got me divorced from my ex, but also won me the custody of my children, with her paying child support. I am in the middle of a custody hearing/divorce. Fired my first attorney because she never returned my calls or answered my questions. Since I've had Matthew Hunt representing me from this firm I have been extremely pleased with the results. He always responds to my calls, e-mails and concerns and validates my concerns. He has gone above and beyond on several occasions and I honestly do not believe that he is your typical lawyer...just in it for the money. I know that he has a genuine interest in my getting my rights as a father restored and being with my children again. I could not recommend a law firm any higher than i do these guys. Kenny Leigh and his law firm helped my husband to gain full custody of his daughter. Their professionalism and genuine concern for our case was with out question THE BEST!!!

Not really sure how to go about this... I hired the firm of Leigh, James and Assoc's. to handle my divorce. I was initially attracted to their commericals stating they only represented men. I figured my best interests would be looked out for... I'm now not convince that was the case. From the onset, I was bombarded with letters from Leigh, James and Assoc's. Some arriving three at a time (same post marked date). Some of the letters required responses, but most were for my knowledge only. The only common denominator was that every time I was mailed a letter, it cost me $9.00 in administrative fees to have the letter mailed to me, PLUS I was billed for the postage and handling. It got so bad, I had to call the firm and ask them to leave any correspondence pertaining to my divorce at the front desk and I would simply pick it up when I could. I usually am not the review kind of person but felt that because of the representation I received from Kenny Leigh and Associates I needed to send in something. When I originally met with Mr. Leigh he explained to me what to expect from his firm. I had used another firm in Jacksonville during my divorce and they said the same thing. The difference is that what Mr. Leigh had said was the truth. The communication with him and his staff was excellent, if I had a question or concern I called his office and I received a timely response from someone in the office. Outstanding law firm. I am a member of the Armed Forces and I couldn't recommend anyone better to get the job done right the first time every time. I suffered through a two year divorce with 4 continuations and an ex that tried to use our children as weapons against me. I didn't seek out legel counsel at first but when this kind of behavior continued I sought out the most aggressive law firm I could find. Just finding a lawyer in Jacksonville wasn't good enough. I needed a firm that was going to help me see my children and help me fight the unjust behaviors of my ex-wife. No parent should ever have to go through what I have, and they definately shouldn't have to go through it alone. As a family member, I thought I could count on and trust Kenny. Along with his staff, he is unprofessional, disrespectful, and uses foul language. He is the same immature, ungrateful, spoiled brat I remember him as being. If you can’t count on and trust your own family members, then please, tell me, WHO can you trust? Kenny Leigh and Associates helped and guided me through a tough custody battle. As a member of the military stationed in California I had little to no clue as the workings on Florida custody law. Mr. Leigh and his team of expert attorneys guided me every step of the way. Mr. Leigh keep me up to date on the process with weekly meetings and Emails. I would give Kenny and his team nothing less than a 5 star rating. Starting back in 2006, Kenny has worked with me for several years to ensure that the entire legal process was complete and accurate. From the beginning to the end of my divorce, his team was always there for me. Because of Kenny and his great team, I was able to win custody of my two girls and receive most everything I was asking for, including the marital residence. He even made certain the judgment removing her from title was taken care of. We just won BIG in my custody case and I am writing this review to give Kenny Leigh and his associates the credit they deserve. For many years I was at the mercy of my ex. The court systems backed her on many false allegations against me, and I mean the court systems looked at me like a piece of trash dad. In 2007 my ex filed a child abuse allegation against me which again the court systems supported her and ripped my rights from me and ordered I have supervised visitation. Kenny Leigh is horrible.....he ripped me off and caused a scene and was beat by a first time first client freshman lawyer!! Then, Then emailed me to tell me it's over....Good Luck!!!By the way all your files are here in a box!!! I knew I was in trouble when he always pawned me and my case off on his half witted partners!! He never once helped me out when I needed someone who claimed to be For MenOnly...a neon sign that reads FOR BAD MEN ONLY in the Legal world!!!BEWARE!!MEN!! He let my X walk all over me in court everytime...he later got into trouble with the opposing Lawyer after he made me spend thousands of dollars using other Lawyers Like Parker _____! We hired Kenny to renotiate alimony and child support. He required a LARGE retainer. Even then, every time we turned around we received another bill. We settled the case, not to our satisfaction, but thinking we could modify it later on. When we went to do that we found out, "Oops....forgot to tell you....there has to be a substantial change in income before you can go back to court." Had we had this information, we wouldn't have settled but instead, pressed on. Kenny has run an amazing marketing campaign with the "for men only" slogan but in truth, he's not at all agressive. He's a pussy cat ---- and that's a kind description!! In fact, we had more than 60% of the original retainage left and even as a good faith effort, he refused to refund even a portion of it (If he had, I'm certain I would not be writing this review right now!!!). Kenny Leigh represented me in a non-contested matter until I fired him and he represented at least two (2) men that I know, none of which benfitted. Kenny Leigh should NEVER litigate a contested matter. Contrary to his recent barrage of advertising designed to entice new clients, Kenny Leigh is not a good advocate for contested matters. Kenny Leigh would be fine for a non-contested matter; however, many paralegals are able to perform the same duties for far less money. I personally fired Kenny Leigh because he was not up front and was willing to accept retainer fees while failing to service a case. He allowed his own family issues to interfere with his ability to concentrate on his client. Kenny Leigh does not understand the law in a manner conducive to his client. In other words, very poor attorneys are sucessful litigators when Kenny Leigh is the opposing counsel because they run the table at your expense.
