I had a big set-to with him and he said several things I found very insulting. However, in his last post, he indicated that he has turned his life around, so I guess I will give him the benefit of the doubt. 3

Not a big fan of him, but I am kinda sad to see him go. 3

UPDATE: Personally, I'm sorry to see him go. I know that he went against the grain to most RIA users. He was sometimes angry, and sometimes childish. At other times he seemed much more thoughtful and understanding, and entertaining. I think JJ came onto RIA during a period of crisis in his life. Maybe he found some answers here, I don't know. But I did notice that he seemed to be changing to a much more agreeable reviewer the last few months. I wish him the best of luck in whatever he does. O.C. Jar-Jar is still an enigma to me. On one hand he seems very intelligent and knowledgable about world events. Some of his comments seem like he's trying to give a good honest review and then suddenly he injects it with bitterness or an attempt to anger his fellow reviewers. I've read through much of his postings and I can't quite figure him out. He seems angry at society at large. He may very well have his reasons, I don't know. He also has a few good weblist and clearly loves sports. There are few other reviewers on here that seem to influence Jar-Jar. I could be wrong about that too. I give him a four because whether or not I agree with him (I mostly don't) he still expresses himself well, I just think there's room for a little improvement. My advice, lose the anger.10

Made a gradual improvment in his time here. We got off to a rough start but I would leave him as at least okay in my book.12

UPDATE: I just found out today that JJ has left RIA and I think that is a shame. I wish him the best. I have seen a complete turn around with him and I have grown to like and respect him. As I have said before my rating of Jar-Jar has sparked a myriad of negative comments towards me and you know what? I really do not care! The world is filled with different kinds of people; some are liked, some are not. Some conform to our perceived idea of what people are supposed to be and many do not. JJ has made some positive life changes recently and if you choose not to believe him then fine, that is your choice. Life will go on whether you encourage someone trying to better themselves or not. We all make mistakes in life, some of us more than others, some of us take two steps forward and one step back but at least we are making progress. I don't need the approval of others and JJ does not either. JJ is an underdog of sorts and I will defend him because I see him doing the right thing. I have also defended others on RIA and I will continue if it is warranted. I have seen some, not all, but some who criticize him use many of the same traits they fault him of themselves. John 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 7

Well folks, this is my LAST official posting on RIA. I've decided on my own terms that it is time for me to go. I've moved on to bigger and better things in life. I'm fully rehabilitated and I have finally discovered who I really was. I'm healthy and living a drug-free/alcoholic free lifestyle. I have nowhere to go but up. ... I want to thank many of you RIA reviewers who have sent me nice private messages and those who have sent me suggestions pertaining to my weblists. As of this writing, I shall officially resign RIA effectively at midnight tonight. You will never hear from me again (unless I become famous! LOL!). But after this message, there is no way that I will come to RIA again. I have to go and leave you all forever. I had a lot of fun here and it feels like I'm leaving the RIA family. Whether you were younger or older than me, I enjoyed learning new things from each and everyone of you. I have a brand new perspective in life: Be happy as long as you can because life is too short to be pissed off all the time. I'll be 30 in half a year from today, but I've got much more ahead of me. Lastly to RIA Administrator Larry Coburn, I know we've had our differences, but I want to thank you for allowing me to share my opinions and my viewspoints to the entire RIA community. You're a fair guy and you're all right. Again, you will never have to hear from me ever again. In just a few seconds, I shall officially depart. This is Jar-Jar Binks signing off forever. To all of you: Thank you all and have a safe/wonderful life. Good-bye.20

Well, he is provocative and provides a counterpoint. That is not always welcome, but necessary.4

Seems like a fairly balanced guy. I'm trying not to get involved in the Rate It All wars. All I can say is Jar-Jar Binks seems like a well spoken reviewer.2

Do not dismiss this guy completely. He has compiled some of the best made and interesting weblist on this sight, especially if you are an NBA fan. He makes some interesting comments and shakes things up around here.6

From what I have read, his reviews are generally entertaining to read, he shoots from the hip, is self-deprecating and straightforward. Refreshing.6

im going to say it like it is . i find him rude and his comments(opinions) are of ignorance with no sign of intelligence. i personally will not waste my time to see what he has to say anymore. i may in the future look for curiositys sake but im sure i wont be surprised that hes changed not in the least. i believe his opinions are helpful in areas that are made of hatred name calling and ignorance. 6

Oh Donovan, blow it out your ears. If you can't see that this guy (the re-incarnation of Chauncey and lord knows who else) came back only to try to start some kind of blatant whine and moan session then you're fully into denial. So, he won you over during a warm and fuzzy private ego boosting session - whoop-di-do. That doesnt make him any less insulting to those of us who have suffered his unwarranted piss-ant attacks. You cant seriously expect anyone to actually tuck tail and feel all guilty because we see him for the sniveling little ingrate that he is and you're off making daisy chains with him. Sorry Rosebud, but I call them as I see them and you can accuse me of being un-Christian or whatever you want and it wont stop me from saying so. And heres an FYI for Jar-Jar no, I dont think youre a troll youre too predictable for that moniker. I think youre acting like a blathering sap with a chip on your shoulder the size of Manhattan. It might be different if youd grow up and start thinking of someone besides yourself. But that would mean you would have to want to. 10

Good writer-seems to get under a lot of peoples skin, which at least shows they're paying attention.I always enjoy reading his comments-even when I don't agree. He often makes me laugh-a very good thing indeed!4

Don't know when he left, but it must've been before my time. I must say though, by the looks of the old comments on him and his old self the new and improved Chauncey is at least somewhat that. He's either mellowed out or is on a powerful mood stabilizer. Maybe he will try not to get banned this time around.2

Jeez, Bee, don't hold back and sugar coat it, tell us what you really think. LOL. As far as I'm concerned the guy is marginally better than his last incarnation (Chauncey) but that's about all. Generally pretty tedious and predictable stuff and seldom witty.7
