Folgers Instant

I'm guilty as charged. I do have a container of Folgers Instant Coffee in my cupboard. And I confess that on occasion I do drink it. For a lot of us, time is of the essence. I'd love to linger over a brewing pot of coffee and read the paper at the breakfast table like a character in a 1950's TV show. But that's just not my lifestyle. The best I can hope for in the morning is gulp and run. That's where Folgers comes in. Mostly, I'm a tea drinker. But I do like a good cup of coffee now and then. When I don't have time for a good cup of coffee and need a cup of Joe, I'll take anything I can get. That anything is usually Folgers Instant. Instant coffee is nothing to write home about. You spoon it into your cup and add hot water. Some varieties are better than others, but let's be honest. We're drinking it for convenience. I can honestly state that Folgers is convenient. And it is coffee. For that, I rate it a solid "OK".

As far as Instant coffee goes there's better stuff out there like Nescafe Classico and other stuff. Folgers instant coffee tastes icky and you can make a better cup of coffee from regular folger's coffee that's not instant.

I am pretty sure drinking used motor oil is healthier then this stuff.

It's the only instant coffee I like. I use 2 1/2 spoonfuls of folgers instant . Some powdered creamer and 2 spoonfuls of sugar.

I would feed it to POW's for interrogation purposes.

I prefer instant to brewed (thanks to eight years in the military) and this is about the best instant there is.

Folgers Classic roast instant coffee is decent. The granules are natural and fresh looking; they're small and dark. Though it's somewhat bitter and has a slight cereal flavor, the taste is full and authentic. Good aroma and caffeine 'high,' also. Folgers is twice as good as the crappy Tasters Choice instant.

Folger's instant coffe is not as good as regular coffee. it's too fake tasting and it's too weak. I prefer regular's flavor too, I think folgers coffe is too sour and the instant is worse. It just don't taste as good and I hope they make it better but I don't drink instat that much, I frink regular.

At some point in my life someone gave me a box of Folgers coffee in tea bags, yes tea bags. Apparently they now sell the grounds in individual servings in the form of tea bags. Well, I thought this seemed like an idea worth trying so I boiled up a little water poured out one serving size dropped in a bag, let it brew, withdrew the bag, added the exact amounts of cream and sugar and voila! A single serving of nice and hot home brewed really bad coffee all for me! No thanks.

Folger's is a good brand. I love drinking this brew because it keeps me alert when I am extremely tired.
