Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer? 3

When a light comes on, it generates heat. Because of the extreme low temperature in the freezer, the change of temperature on the surface of the light bulb would cause it to crack and explode, contaminating the food with particles of glass.

Because serial killers don't need a light to see where they stored the body parts.

Ice cream are always visible inside the freezer. Who needs light? Besides do you want to eat frozen foods for midnight snack?

Because the people who made the refrigerator wanted to make getting food a bit of a challenge. If you want some ice tea or a coke, you can easily find it in the fridge. But if you want hamburger meat or some frozen green beans, you gotta go through a decision process ( this by far the stupidest answer to any question I've ever had to answer, just to let ya know).

Considering that I am one to raid the freezer for t.v dinners and such, at very odd hours of the morning...it would certainly be more convenient if my freezer DID have its own light source

The frost would cover it up anyway.

It needs one. You ever look for a microwave dinner at 3 a.m.?

My guess: You need the light in the 'fridge, it allows you the ability to see when something DEFINATELY needs to be tossed out to the garbage (i.e. turning green and about to sprout legs of its own). This is less of a problem in the freezer.
