Although he was best known as a rock singer it was not a hard core, high note reaching type of rock. Whether it was his Whiskey A Go-Go live album from the mid 60s, his Peace / Love / Hippie Phase (Realization) from the later 60s, or his hit single Slow Dancing Rivers has always stayed within his realm. His vocals have always been consistant and therefore he hasn't produced a bad record in over 40 years.
