11/24/2006 | | Like anyone there are times when I want revenge. An individual has weakness, but as a society we should be a sum greater than our parts. Blood thirsty revenge is a horrible sin. Life without the possibility is enough. It costs us around 3 million dollars to execute someone. The normal reply is we shouldn't have many appeals, or pay for attorneys fees for so many appeals. There have been many rulings overturned at the last, or near last, appeal. What could be worse than excecuting the wrong person?
Capitol punishment doesn't reduce murder so what good is it? If the victoms knew that the Life sentence ended the whole thing, it might be better than waiting 7-10 years so maybe an excecution will take place. I can't help but think of the Amish community that had those little girls killed. They are better than the rest of us. | 1 |

12/09/2005 | | There is only one thing we can know for a fact, we are going to die. If someone speeds up the process then they should face the same fate. Do we really need these people on the planet? The only thing I disagree with is the painless way they go. Green Mile them, without the sponge! | 2 |

12/09/2005 | | It's not about deterrence, it's about punishment. You do the crime, you pay. This country seems to have forgotten about the concept of consequences, lately. | 0 |

12/09/2005 | | There can be no automatic death sentence for murder, its still has to be treated one case at a time, but when dealing with pre-meditated violent ones where no revenge is related...an eye for an eye. Fry the sun'bitch. | 1 |

12/09/2005 | | We're not taliking about a bar room fight here...this a premeditated execution. If you plan to kill, then plan to be killed. | 4 |

12/08/2005 | | Hmm. I think the really sick MF'ers need to eat it, but only those types should be executed. | 5 |

09/15/2005 | | Death as a penalty must be because of aggravated circumstances. Such cases as poison, lying in wait, killing for hire, torture, in a wanton or cruel manner, and other such examples suggest considerable premeditation and suggest a maximum penalty. | 1 |

06/13/2005 | | If it fits the crime. Each case is different and should be treated as such. In instances where chances of rehabilitation are next-to-none, or the individual has a lengthy history of violence, this would be the most appropriate punishment. | 0 |

03/01/2005 | | I can't agree with our government executing any criminal in our judicial system. Our country's resources are able to contain the worst criminals, therefore making capital punishment unneccesary. And what type of values does our government express to citizens when it emphasizes that the proper way of dealing with a person who kills is to kill them back. This has to contribute in some way to our country's violent tendencies. | 0 |

02/28/2005 | | If DNA evidence has been presented this should be the penalty EVERY time!!!!No exceptions!!!Not even if you have a Dream Team of lawyers. | 1 |

02/27/2005 | | If Life without parole is not an option this would be the second best available though I have reservations about executions in general. | 3 |
