The other day I went to the store to buy a pack of cigarettes, the usual Marlboro, but I decided I would try something different. In the past I have had Kamels, but not in a really really long time, probably 7 years. So I decided to get a pack. $9 a fucking pack! My mouth dropped to the floor when the Asian guy at the counter uttered that disturbing price. That's almost $4 more than a pack of Marlboro. I almost backed out, but I decided to go for it. Maybe it was the store just trying to rip me off or something. I have bought more expensive cigarettes in my day. First off, they weren't worth $9, that is certain. They taste fairly good, strong, very nice taste. They burn awfully fast, but I don't mind it too much. Much better than Camel Filters, that is for sure. Would recommend them to someone who is rich and likes a strong cigarette. Overall, probably not a good idea to spend so much money on cigarettes, but they were worth the try. Don't share them with your friends, you'll be ou... Read more

Well I was a avid Marlboro Red smoker for about 6 years. One day I randomly bought a pack of kamel reds because of the unique pack, but also because I just wanted to try them. Let me tell you that I was not dissapointed. A lot of people say they taste the same Marlboro Reds but honestly to me they are nothing like them. Kamel Reds have such a distnict and unique flavor. They are sweeter tasting, a lot more mellow, plus they are a longer smoking cigarette. Ever since marlboro went to the fire safe cigarette the taste has been a lot different. They are really harsh now and burn really fast. They also don't have the unique marlboro sweetness like they did before becoming "fire safe". Kamel reds are now my cigarette. I just love the smooth, sweet, all the way through flavor. If you smoke Marlboro try a Kamel Red, I bet you'll switch.

I used to smoke Camel Filters but when they changed the blend i dont smoke them anymore the new blend gives me headaches and nauseous, but K-Reds are the shit, they are the most like the old blend. second to none. a little more expensive and hard to find but worth the extra effort.

I don't smoke. I tried freshman year in college and never got into it. However, I recently smoked one of these and immediately had to have another. I'm pretty sure they are my new favorite thing.

Good smoke. Lighter than a Marlboro "red", stronger than a Camel filter. The pack is attractive, red and cream color with the old very old school Camel on the pack. The same one that was on the pack from 1913-1930. Also the old slogan that was on Camel packs from 1988-1997 is on the front "Genuine Taste". The taste is alright, very much like Camel's but more of it. Sometimes smoking these I can taste a nutty like spice that I do not like at all. I buy a pack of these every so often, and yes they are expansive smokes, and 8/10 packs may be a little stale from shelf life. You can find them more in big city areas and trendy places. A interesting side note when these first came out they were 100% Turkish tobacco, and marketed towards the "elite". Thats why in 1930 after the depression they were pulled from the shelf's. Wonder what the originals tasted like?

a great smoke , but really hard to fine and more expensive, most of the time they are old because they have been sitting around for a very long time and camel doesn't produce that much of them thus limited supply. and basically it is like a marlboro red but a little bit harsher and tastes a bit better. Overall there OK , i buy them about twice a year when i have some extra cash usually only a pack or 2. My normal smoke of choice is Camel Full Flavor WIDES

Being a Marlb Red smoker, these are an easy change. If these were more available, they might be my new regulars. A bit stronger than Marlb reds, but also a bit harsher. Too bad they don't sell them in most shops.

Kamel REDS are GREAT!!! I have been smoking for two years, started with trying full flavors from all brands, smoked Marlboro Reds for a few months, smoked Camel Filters for the last 9 months.. but these cigarettes are just a step above the rest. They are just as strong as the camel filters or marlboro reds and yet they are real smooth and heavy. With no bad taste. Trying to find a good deal on them - the price around here is $5.70 for them..

I'v been smoking the regular camel filters now for a while, But I've heard so much about these lately, that I decided to go out and spend the extra cash and get them. They are great, much better than the filters, they go down smooth and taste great.

Rarely do I smoke. However, when I go about the deed, I'm almost always confronted with an unfamiliar brand. I always try different kinds, etc. When I first tried a red I was undoubtedly impressed. Excellent smoke. Great when drinking.

This is probably the cigarette I've smoked the most. They taste nice, the draw is good, and the nicotine buzz is EXCELLENT. The only con is that they're kinda pricy...the last pack I bought was $6.70, so I think I'm going to have to say goodbye to my beloved Reds.

The fact that RJ Reynold's called a Camel cigarette a RED cigarette does not make it any better than the other nasty ones this company sells...RJReynolds couldn't make a decent cigarette if they were the last tobacco company in America...

this is the only cigarette that i will ever buy. now beggars being choosers and all of that aside(i will smoke others when i'm bumming), i will never waste my money on any other brand of squares. for those that find them a little strong, stay true, they never get the strange aftertastes of camel filters or marb reds (corn chips and ass respectively). the bonus is that new packs smell of raisins, so you know they're fresh.

Tried two once upon a time and nearly coughed up a lung or two! That is an accomplishment since I only smoke Marb Reds or Camel Full-Flavor, two other strong flavored cigs. I truely would never smoke one again. I may have a crappy memory, but the bad ones ALWAYS stay with me. Again with the trolls. Do you have a life? Is spamming cigarette 'rate-it-alls' the only interesting thing you can come up with? We all know cigs are bad and will eventually kill us if we don't quit. But until that happens, quit or die, leave us alone. *as she lights up an interesting new cig from Marb (blend no. 27)*

Although due to thier strength me and my friends can only smoke them every once and a while, they are still great smokes. The Lights are a little more bearable. If your looking for a good tasting smoke that is probably stronger than anything this side of non-filtered then pick up some KRs

A good cigarette for those who smoke because they enjoy the experience, flavor- not just the nicotine. And to comment on the people leaving anti-smoking propaganda-- stop wasting your time, people who smoke undoubtedly know it is a potentially dangerous habit and don't need to be reminded on a forum of that.

VERY smooth, powerful smoke. How Kamel ever made such a quality smoke in mass quantites i'll never know. It burns fast though. I gave it a 4 because its a little too heavy.

People shouldn't smoke, I think that it is disgusting habit. People who smoke should be sent back to Europe with the rest of the Euro-Trash wanna-be's leaving liberal, anti-American messages. I'll never smoke a cigarette in my life, being that it would make me impotent!!

I love these, today most smokes are weak or menthol, but K-Reds are strong enough to let you know, "Hey, I'm smoking and I like it." And those of you who just complain about smoking on the ratings, why waste your breath? If love it so much, complain to people who care!
