My husband and i thought we'd discovered this secret gem one night and later raved about it to my parents, who happened to have dined there many times while living in U City. Recommendations: Sizzling Rice soup-chicken brooth based w/celery, shrimp, chicken, water chestnuts, green onions, mushrooms w/a fried rice patty on top, that softens as is sits in the brooth. Egg Rolls-the BEST! i won't eat them from anywhere else, more pork than veggies, not just cabbage either like most places--PLUS they make they're own Sweet & Sour dipping sauce!!!! Szechuan Beef-spicy yet very flavorfull. my personal favorite. breaded beef in a spicey brown sauces w/shreaded carrots. Hot Braised Chicken *boneless*-Chinese classic, juicy white breast meat in spicey yet flavor packed sauce.

I had my first Guo Bin food experience, and it was great! Noah was our waiter, and he's a riot! Highly recommended--the chicken dish offered the dinner-for-three meal was the most tender I've ever had.

Guo Bin is my favorite restaurant in all of St. Louis...which is funny since my favorite food happens to be Mexican and I've never really been a big fan of Chinese. Guo's food is fast and fresh...not like some other Chinese joints whose food tastes processed and plain (sorry P.F. Changs). Maybe it's because it isn't a chain restaurant. The wait staff is friendly...Noah offered to teach me how to cook the Kung Pao Shrimp in exchange for teaching him to read English :) I've yet to take him up on his offer, but it is tempting since my tongue has never been tantalized like it has been from eating that dish. This restaurant deserves 100 stars in my book.

They have excellent dishes such as Kung Pao shrimp if you're into seafood. General Tso's chicken, Guo bin beef, sesame chicken, are all very popular. Try it and you'll love it. They have great services, unlike some chinese restaurants that aren't really concerned with good service. Appetizers such as their crab meat rangoon and postickers are sold almost to every table. Make sure to bring lots of friends together so you guys can share the different dishes.

Everytime I eat at Guo Bin I have to remember not to order anything fried. While I love sweet and sour chicken at most places Guo Bin's is a wierd dry concoction. However, they have delicious Lo Mein, Crab Rangoon and a killer sesame beef. The dinning area is fun with ambiance and the wait staff is truely awesome. After our 3rd visit our waitress had remembered my husband and I and made us feel welcome. I often carry out because I live close and it's on the way but try dining in. They are really good people.
