I would have such a hard time adapting to being blind because everything i do to keep my sanity requires my eyesight. right now i am having difficult seeing and its frustrating as hell. I just want the vision I had last week back. this has taught me not to take things for granted more and more. how humble we become. rate it all has become therapy, sanctuary and a place to get to know others and hear what they have to say.

    . . . didn't your mom tell you to stop doing "that", otherwise you'd go blind??? . . . seriously, this WOULD suck, though . . .

This would be one of the worst things I can imagine. My eyes are my primary portal to the rest of the world, and to be without them would be to lose one of the most practical pieces of machinery in my body, not to mention the beauty I would miss by not being able to see.

This would really suck because Playboy magazine doesn't print a brail version.

Who would NOT BE afraid of losing their eyesight ? While I've met blind people who get on amazingly well,it sure would be debilitating in a Huge Way.

I'd have no problem being deaf, I already have terrible hearing. But I'm afraid of my ability to handle going blind. It would be quite the adjustment of lifestyle. I'm always amazed watching blind people getting around, especially without a guide dog. I've tried walking around my house with eyes closed and I'm bumping into shit. I don't know how they do it.

There was a time that I would've rated this a full 5 stars, but seeing acts like Lady GaGa and watching shows like The Wiggles on tv, going blind wouldn't be so bad these days.

When I first got my contacts I didn't change the cleaner fluid and it caused an infection in my eyes and made them swell shut. I was blind for 3 days so I know how it feels.

There Goes my livelihood. No more art, no More scenery. No more looking at my Kids faces or Sunsets or Beautiful women. Yeah, Going blind would definitely suck.

Gifts should be appreciated. Ask the average person if they resent the disability that humbles them and learn from the answer. Life isn't about what happens...you are defined by your reaction to challenge. The loss of a gift should should also be appreciated. Is being sight impaired the end of the world? Go back to the 70's and read, "Butterflies Are Free."

I can't imagine how I would adpat to such a drastic change in my life. I'm clumsy as it is, however I think I would be devastated bythe loss of my ability to read and write.

i would definately miss seeing the eyes of my loved ones, but would be thankful that I had my sight for as long as I did, and that I was alive to enjoy life with my other senses tuning in and taking the place of my sight.
