 | Spike65 (13) 08/23/2007 | Five stars for when it was good which was more often than not. Some great stars came from that show most of whom are still working today. Loved the two farmboys music show with John Candy and Joe Flaherty listening to the guest star until they blew them up with dynamite. "hey he blowed up good!, yeah he blowed up real good!"

 | ungodlyugly (2) 06/03/2006 | Very very very very VERY funny show that didn't get anywhere near the pub SNL got from being located in NYC--which as we all know is the be-all-end-all, as far as the media are concerned. A shame, too, since SCTV was often the superior show...

 | Mr Nuetron (1) 12/09/2005 | As far as ensamble parody shows this is King.Great collection of sketch players.John Candy and Joe Flaherty in particular.Bob and doug Mckenzie sketches,Count Floyd,Johhny Larue. The sketches Parodying newscasters.Earl Cannon Bear (Geraldo Rivera Type) and Flahertys character (STraight Man)were usually hilarious.I prefer the older canadian ones to the nbc version but both leaps and bounds above SNL or Mad tv.SNL really sucks if you ever see the old Chevy Chase Era shows.People must have been really high on something if they thought the samuri deli or bad news bees were funny.Almost impossible to watch now.

 | HeadOfCobain (0) 07/06/2005 | When I discovered this show as a kid, I was blown away. The cast was definitely more talented than most of the SNL crew. Much like SNL, the show would have it's hilarious moments, but with alot of extremely unfunny ones. Still, it's a classic program.

 | marpike (0) 04/22/2005 | Funniest thing on T.V. at the time. So much talent and to think it came out of Canada. Never missed a show.

 | Yobsthead (0) 11/18/2004 | SCTV was one of the greatest television shows ever. It collected some of the most gifted young talent and paradied television itself. However, when it was origionally broadcast, for some reason it was aired in the middle of the night. SCTV is one of my favorites.
