01/06/2006 | Who cares? If you want to take someone's choice away, why the f#ck would you give a damn about their life? If you're going to force your views on others, please don't try to be hypocritical and attempt to sleep at night by caring about some mother's 'life' that you want to 'spare' in this 'unusual circumstance' because of you must save the 'innocent fetus/child/future Nobel-Prize-winner/manifestation-of-my-dogma'. . .pick one side or the other, kids. . .we don't like it when you pretend to care.

11/15/2004 | Excellent points have been made by many on this board. If the mother is at a real risk of death than perhaps there is some logic to what LadyShark said. However, Lance and GoneAway also make good points about the authenticity of these types of situations.

11/08/2004 | This is a total fraud that has been promulgated on this site and has entrenched itself in the mendacious lexicon of the pro-abortion movement. It has always been, and always will be morally and legally permissible to terminate a pregnancy to protect the life of the mother under existing statutes of self defense or justifiable homicide. However there were- and still are thousands of THIRD trimester partial birth abortions ELECTIVELY performed each year simply to satisfy the barbaric desires of murdering women. However the billion dollar abortion lobby has been adroit in distorting the facts and figures, structuring the debate and misleading the public. In the end we could pass laws totally banning all abortions and the termination of pregnancies that pose a threat to the pregnant woman's life would never be affected.
