Yes! Simple but good. Ham, mustard/mayo, lettuce, cheddar or swiss cheese, tomatoes and pickles or a dill spear on the side.

For the most part I like to buy my own sandwich fixings, and here's what I like on a sub: thinly sliced lean ham, Swiss cheese, smoked Cheddar and provolone cheese, sweet onion, olives, and I like a real thin layer of mustard and mayo, pickles, and the vinaigrette. That is the perfect sub, as far as I'm concerned.

My favorite sub sandwich (from some sandwich chain called Submarina) is the Triple Play: ham, turkey, and roast beef piled with all the fixins.

I call them Hoagies, and yeah, they're a pretty solid meal. I like the ones that have all kinds of meat on them.

Many kinds of subs are great, but nothing beats an Italian with no onions or hots but lots of oil  preferably purchased in a non- chain sandwich shop: and not at that place that Jared wants you to go to. Speaking of Jared, doesn't his face always look like it's about to either melt or wobble all over the place?

I like most of them, as long as they're well made, and not from Subway or Quizno's.

I like all kinds of subs-the bread being most important & the optional toppings I like best are: Lettuce,Tomato,Onions & Pickled hot peppers.I prefer real subs made in Mom & Pop stores, not fast food chains.I'd have to say "Italian" style with salami, capicuola & provolone rates high-but it really depends on my mood.I also love a good tuna sub,but hardly have them anymore because of all the mercury now in the water & fish.

Subway's new Bacon and Chicken sub is an A+. When I go to Subway, I always get it with meat, cheese, possibly mustard, and toasted. No vegetables. This way, you get the full meat taste when you eat it.

I go in for the hot subs over their colder cousins, and I make them my own self. Fire up the oven's broiler (and set the rack up a notch), then break out Nickles brand split-top mini-buns, set side-by-side on a piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil. Get a spoonful of your favorite pizza sauce (mine's Contadina) and lightly spread it onto the left-side bun. Then place pepperoni slices (three across, four or five rows down) on top. On the right-side bun, layer Carl Buddig meat slices on to your liking (substitute with as much creativity as you care to), and place Kraft mozzarella cheese slices (the shredded is too messy, and never gets fully done) over that. For added spice, sprinkle some thin-cut onions onto the cheese. Slide it all under the broiler, with the cheese side of the bun directly underneath the heating element (times vary, but look for a golden brown toastiness across the cheese). Take it out, drop the rack, and turn the oven on at 350 degrees; place both halves of the sub to... Read more

I miss the subs from my favorite deli in New York. They just don't do it to my liking here, in Texas. Too many combinations to pick a favorite. I could live on subs because it's always different.

Anywhere from divine to gross, depending on what and who is making it. The best: The Cheesesteak Sub at White House in Atlantic City. The worst: Any of Idiot Jared's Sweet Onion Roadkill sandwiches smothered with Onions at Crapway, er Subway.

My favorite sub has to fulfill these requirements: 1) Italian bread or bread that's got all sorts of little grainy thingys in it. And it's gotta be somewhat soft. I hate rock-hard bread. 2) Roast Turkey Breast. 3) Honey Mustard. Lots of it. 4) Tomato. Lots of it. 5) Lettuce. 6) Optional slices of American/Cheddar Cheese. Sharp. 7) Served with either those Baked Lay's Potato Chips that they've got at Subway, or some nice, thick steak fries, with turkey gravy on the side. And some sweet iced tea.

Although Subway and Quizno's are probably better, there's a chain in Canada called Mr. Sub that makes probably the most ubiquitous sub there is. Not bad but not great, I like the Assorted coldcuts with the secret sauce (italian dressing, big secret) plus the fact that they are much cheaper than Subway and quizno's, they deliver and I can eat like three when I'm hungry

Roasted Chicken Sub from Subway, and any sandwich from Quizno's. Can't get enough.

My favorite sub is Roast beef and cheddar, or any cheese for that matter. Lots of mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. But I'm going to try MissPackRat's suggestion of Pepperoni and swiss cheese, it sounds really good!

Pepperoni and Swiss cheese -- simply the best kind of sandwich there is!
