I have recently been to black pearl and i have to say they are the cheapest for tongue piercings, but we had a long wait. There was a little girl constanlty walking around and people were coming in like they lived there. Only 2 tattoo artist were on staff and one person for piercings. She was very precise not to hit my veins so i told her to put it a little to the side since i have alot of veins under my tongue. She did exactly what i asked. They used sterile needles and new gloves. I wished she would have given me some mouhwash becuase my mouth started to bleed, but she put it in the same hole i had a piercing in previoulsy.

this place has the most bussiness i ever known soo all the haters just keep hating you motivate them to keep they bussiness running. And i dont know where you get the idea that black pearl is nasty. because to me they have the best runned bussiness ever. i have three tattoos and Roland did every last one of them. i think people just like to bring others down because they have nothing else better to do. but by one person saying something like that doesn't stop there bussiness.....if that was the cases you should have went to urban expressions and got your eyebrows pierce

I went here to get my eyebrow pierced. There were tons of people just wandering around, I think many people live in this building. It was hard to tell who worked there. I look very young, and instead of asking for actual ID, they just asked if I had any tattoos. Showing them my tattoos on my legs was proof enough for them. (I look about 15. sketchy sketchy!) There was no paperwork to fill out, no release, nothing. They didn't even know my name. When I walked in, the girl asked what I was there for, and I said eyebrow piercing. She told me it would be $25. I gave her my money, and she walked away, giving me no information. After standing there for about 15 minutes, confused, someone finally called me into the back. I was about ready to bolt, but she DID put on new, clean gloves and the needle was from a sealed package. She did not, however, draw the dots on my eye so I could see where it was going to go, like she should have. There was also no hardware choice - usually you should get to... Read more

For all those saying its a dirty shop and all that stuff, why would you stay and get a tat there after thinking its dirty? So any flaw is your own fault. The shop used to be a hair salon, but they have turned it around nicely. I have gotten 7 of my 13 tattoos from them, and I ONLY let Roland touch me, I can't speak for any other artist there. And I absolutely love Tracey(his wife). They are very sanitary, at least Roland and Tracey are, as I said I can't speak for anyone else. Roland has done wonderful work on all my tats, and is such a sweetheart and pleasure to work with. Stop hating, cuz if you had any ill feelings when you walked in you should have walked your self right back out the door. But Roland you have no reason to worry, there are more pleased people than there are haters!

For the person that said that it was dirty and in the back of a hair salon. Yes the place used to be a hair salon, but if you have been in there sometime within the last few months they are remodeling it. There can be a wait, but it is work the wait. The only reason they don't charge the same prices and the "other guys" is because they aren't over priced. People are so used to paying for what they want. If someone has sent you to a tattoo shop are you really going to question the abilities of an artist or are you going to pay whatever they tell you. Everyone that was there was really nice to both me and my husband. We both got tattooes before going to Iraq. I have a Koi that covers most of my right upper arm. I flew out the next day. It looks great. I don't even need to go back for touch ups. Before you decied where you want to go, don't let one persons opinion stop you from going to see Rolland or his wife (she is the one that does the piercings) I will be going back after I leave Ira... I should have known better than to stay and get a tattoo. I picked out a nice size tatto and got a way too cheap price quote. They werent all the friendly in my opinion. My tattoo artist stayed on the phone like he was at home and went way too deep with the needle. My lines were pretty shaky also. I just wasnt happy wiith the whole situation. I can definately say don't let the cheap prices lure you in like they did me.

HELP WANTED!!! TALENTED TATTOO ARTISTS. WELL THAT IS DEFINITELY WHAT THIS SHOP NEEDS. MY SOON TO BE HUBBY GOT A TRIBAL TATTOO FROM BLACK PEARL ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, AND IT HAS COST HIM A LOT OF MONEY TO GET HIS TATTOO CORRECTED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. THE SUPER- WHACK WANNA BE ARTIST DUG SO MUCH INTO HIS SKIN, THAT NOW THE OUTLINE OF THE TATTOO IS RAISED. I HAVE TALKED TO MANY TATTOO ARTISTS SINCE THEN AND I HAVE NOT HEARD ONE GOOD THING ABOUT BLACK PEARL EXCEPT BECAUSE THEY SCREW UP SO BAD, THE REAL TATTOO ARTISTS GET A LOT OF BUSINESS. (CORRECTING OR TRYING TO SALVAGE HORRIBLE TATTOOS). DON'T LET THE CHEAP PRICES FOOL YA. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A TRUE TATTOO ARTIST IN A REAL SHOP NOT SOME DINGY GARAGE LOOKING HOLE IN THE WALL!!!!!!!

nice peolpe (for the most part) the HELP is pretty friendly, as for people in shop, couldn't tell who were artists, or patrons, as far as price: not sure, we got to old english letters outlined, faded and shaded, and colored each was 3.5 to 4 inches, $130(plus tip) but it looks great, others were getting quoted lower than us for what seemed to be bigger and more involved, ours were custom, having said that, WE are very pleased with Roland Page's work(sorry man if I spelled it wrong) we will be back to get more work done. I employ 8 people in omaha,Ne, and we are all coming down to get "r" tatts done here! He (Roland) took his time, made sure my son was comfortable, took breaks when needed, and the end result, we couldn't be happier! the was no hating or racism, felt very comfortable, treating like we were customers, like I said couldn't be happier. Hope this shop does well Damon/omaha

This shop is in back of a dirty hair shop and the piercers are baaaaaaaad. I know more than a few people with messed up holes, wrong jewelry, and painful piercings they had to experience more than I needle for 1 piercing. Just wrong. The attraction for most people: cheap price. Its not cheap when you have to pay another piercer to fix or painfully take the jewelry out of a jacked up hole!!!!!!
