Johnny Smith falls into a come for five years following an accident but awakens to discover he has unusual powers to see peoples future. One of the better adaptations of King's books.  Christopher Walken is great as the nerdy Johnny Smith, a timid man who inherits a power that seems heaven sent to prevent the distruction of the world.  The movie is cold and moody, no so much scary as interesting in content.

An excellent, moody King adaptation, brilliantly directed (by David Cronnenberg, whose films I usually do not enjoy), and acted by all. Chris Walken, Martin Sheen, Herbert Lom, Anthony Zerbe, Brooke Adams, Tom Skerritt--all excellent. A little episodic but chilling (Martin Sheen as a psychopathic President; not quite West Wing material). One of the best King films.

Walken is super in this made-for-him role. A disturbing picture with the viewer finding themselves hurting for Johnny. The music score is super and this movie is compelling and chilling at times. Great movie.

One of my favorite Stephen King movies. Christopher Walken and Martin Sheen are really great in this film.
