    It's unprecedented for a foreign head of state to circumvent the president to speak directly to the Congress and the US people. It goes to show that Likud in Israel has become the de-facto arm of the neoconservative wing of the GOP. As I see it, John Boehner was giving Netanyahu a key assist ahead of his tight re-election campaign, all while going full bore into domestic US politics. And it was truly a barnburner of a campaign speech. Not only is he campaigning for re-election, he's also crusading against any agreement with Iran that would bring the United States and Iran closer together (and deprive Netanyahu of his favorite enemy). In any campaign speech, or political theater, it is of course important what you say. But it is even more important what you do not say.     Netanyahu is a 'hit and miss' kind of person. In 2002, he told the US Congress that the invasion of Iraq would be beneficial. Not sure on how that one worked out. In 2011, Netanyahu also spent $24k on takeout food. I'm really serious on that one (see link).
