Farenheit 9/11 hits movie theaters

Bias sits in all eyes, and immediately people need to assume that journalism is slightly skewed, and someone somewhere around the situation has an agenda of editing out particular things. The news is no different, and neither is MIchael Moore. The movie brings some excellent points about certain government actions that need to be questioned such as the lack of scrutinizing particular bills that have huge impacts on the people of this country and the fact that people can be so eager to send others to war yet do not enter or back it themselves. We pay salaries for government members to READ bills, and make decisions based on the good of people, not the good of their affiliates and their party. We also ought to get a reality check on certain ways of doing things such as the unjust coercion involved on teh Xmas eve raid of a house in which a supposed terrorist was living, wrongful bombing and shooting of innocent people. Understanding is shown, with Bush even agreeing that he would do something if he were being occupied, and truth is in there, in those mother's tears, in soldiers voices and actions, in the Iraq business plans good for business, bad for people. Should anyone ever say this line with a smile on their face? It is sickening how much excitement amongst young soldiers and businessmen exists behind this war, and it has to bother everyone in some sort of way, whether you like mr. moore or not. He does narrow his scope, but how else can one capture what real people go through at a personal level? my only issue with the film is the lack of giving the other side. NO persuasion essay or documentary should ever be complete without both sides of everything being mentioned. It would have been nice (or horrible, actually both) to see bodies of people Sadaam and his followers killed. It would have been nice to see actual footage and clear evidence of weapons in Iraq, but all we got were words from mouths and vague satellite pictures of anything. If anyone has visible and overt evidence of such, show me. Someone ought to, if this was truly the catalyst for the invastion.
People need to take Michael Moore's movies with a heavy dose of personal thought after. Realize that he tends to be didactic, but who doesnt in their art? Dig through the smoke, and walk away asking questions and what can be fixed and how we can go about it rather than believing everything or calling it all lies. When broken down, Michael Moore has found things that he and many others think are very wrong, and he wants people to think about it, and do something about it. We cannot sit back and let our government officials lightly skim bills that change our lives and well being. We cannot have these wars with vague reasons and minimal proof mainly spewing from mouths. We cannot be happy and excited and thrilled to be in a war for economic well-being. We all need to read more, seek out more, and make our own 9/11 movie without training wheels of someone elses head. Hit your congressmen, seek out your senators, and do your best to know who they are and what they do for you or against you. INform yourself, and do so with multiple sources. Use that damned head and dont be a follower. This is what I got from the movie knowing damned well going in that it would bash Bush and certain actions the government takes. We all can bash and talk all day long about how shitty the president is, but we often fail to mention that it is the toughest job in the world with many hating you, not only in our country but in the world. Go out and do something about it, like MOore did informing us and showing us things we do not get to see on the news. Influence, but dont coerce, teach but dont preach too hard. If you have a problem, go try and fix it in how you deem fit rather than whine and whine about it. No matter who you are, whether your a soldier, citizen or George W. himself, something can be learned from this movie, something can be shown to you that you did not know. Take a chance and dont be such a loathing pansy! Learn to inform yourself, but more importantly, think for yourself.
