Malik Tailors

I grew up in the WNY area and over the years had been told by multiple local tailors that a suit coat would not hang correctly if it was tailored to match my athletic build. Then one day I was referred to Malik Tailors by my boss who knew that I was disappointed with a new suit that had been butchered by a well respected mens shop. Not only did Mr. Malik salvage the suit but he tailored the coat to match my build perfectly. I hung wonderfully with sharp lines and felt great. It was then that I realized my belief in clothing limitations was not due to the clothing but rather the lack of skilled tailors. I now live in the Philadelphia area and recently purchased a new set of sports coats from a "known" mens shop. As soon as the tailor began to pin the coat I knew that they didn't have the talent to alter the garments correctly. As a fan of high end clothing, it is a bit intimidating finding a good tailor in Buffalo. I have many beautiful shirts and pants from designers such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Canali, etc, however, I have an athletic body type so many things need alterations. EVERY other tailor in Buffalo had no idea what a modern, trim fitting shirt and pants were supposed to fit like. Malik, however, made my shirts and pants look as if they were bespoke. Not only was the workmanship amazing, the "look" was just what you'd see in a GQ magazine. Believe me, if your goal is too look truly stylish, there is no other place to go in Buffalo. Malik is perhaps the best tailor Ive ever worked with, and that includes New York City (where I lived for 4 years)
