Im a teenager so i normally break out. i used to get a ton of gross looking acne between my eyebrows, my hair line, and my nose. then i started using PanOxyl and i literal saw my face clearing up the next day. it does make my face dry but nothing too bad that a little lotion cant fix. but i love it. i like that they have different levels of strongness because when its my time of the month i use the stuff made for your back because thats when i break out the most. i suggest it to any of my friends that ask what they should use. but if you forget to wash your face one day then u break out again. but i really do love it:)

PanOxyl definitely works! Im an AA and my skin broke out severely after using a hair oil. For six months plus i had be battling with this acne. Using everything from clerasil to proactive and everything inbetween and nothing worked. Till in another desperate attempt to help myself i walked into my local CVS to the ance aisle and looked at all te different claims and the highest priced item on the shelf caught my eye it was PanOxyl. So i said what the hell its still cheaper than some of the other products i've used. I took it home that night and used it along with my facial brush with no expectations and awoke the next morning to my surprise with a visibly clearer face. So now at 2 weeks im completely clear and using toner for a little scarring.

i have been using this product for 3 weeks now. first two days was a disaster because after using this product i got so many rashes on my face and my skin turned red and my face started itching and burning. i got dark shadows on some areas such as around my nose and mouth. however once my skin got used to the product (after a week or so) i started to see the results. most of my acne has disappeared and my skin looked clear. but remember as soon as u stop using the product, ur acne will come back so keep using it and dont give on the first days because it takes pationce to see real results

If you are not willing to go on accutane for your skin, I would suggest using the PANOXYL foaming facewash at night, then dabbing on moisturizer afterwards. Go onto skinID.com and take the test to see what combo is good for you-buy that and use that in the daytime-you can totally apply makeup over it as well. I used to have horrible skin-I was on accutane for one cycle and it stayed away from me for almost 2 years, but now it is back. I do not wan to go on accutane a second time because it is so hard on your liver, and could possibly not even work the second time..it could make it worse. I suggest trying what I said up above..but you need to be DILIGENT. you cannot stop using it one week, then use it again. it has to be a routine that you swear by because it wont work. it takes about 2 weeks to see a difference. also, drink a LOT of water and stay away from pepperoni, salami, or chocolate. I have had bad skin for over 5 years and I have tried everything...antibiotics, all birth co... Read more

I've always broken out bad on my back/shoulders/chest/neck/face, but my face/neck hardly break out. My dermatologist recommended the Panoxyl bar 10% and I used that and it worked at first, and I was exercising/dieting around the same time and then I had a medical scare so I mean I stopped working out, etc. and stopped washing with that bar for some reason, anyways, eventaully I started breaking ou tbad again. I got this new panoxyl foaming acne wash recently and I haven't really noticed a difference when using it. Is it so diff. from the bar, or is it that I'm not exercsiing/dieting cuasing the issue with my skin? I'm really thrown because I've tried all sorts of treatments, and now I'm thrown. I don't wnat to wast emy money on stuff that's not working. If you can, I'd appreciate your help with this. Thanks.

i dont thinkits forsomeone who lives in a cold climate ( because the cold air dries you and mixing in panoxyl would make that worst) an active person who in the summer or warmer temperaturs sweats alot it is good for ( you sweat open your pores and then panoxyl cleans them out. even if it was drying you out sweating helps cure that) so its good for summer use i guess. i use regular lever soap threw the winter months and once the temps hit 65, i start using the panoxyl bar..

I've been using Panoxyl bars for 20 years in combination with Clyndomicin and Noxema cold cream (original) to treat facial acne with good results. Each morning and evening, I wash using the bar and apply the Clyndomicin lotion. The Noxema is a moisterizer/cleaner and I use it as shaving cream in the morning and usually leave it on at night. I recall when my doctor first recommended Panoxyl he cautioned that prolonged use could cause dryness. So I tried Noxema and it's been a good combination for me. Twenty years speaks for itself. Before this treatment, nothing seemed to work. Hope this helps.

I am a 37 year old women that never had acne as a teenager, but as an adult my back chest and neck were awful. Deep Blackheads & large purple sore pimples. I have tried everything under the from over the counter to Proactive and have had no success except extremely dry skin on my back. I seen this on a commercial and bought it the next time I was at CVS. Used it that night 5/15/2008 and again last night. Tonite my back looks the best it has in years. I chose to use it every few days instead of everyday since my skin is dry from the other products I have tried and the packages advises to do so if it drys out your skin. I am so pleased and I can't wait to be able to wear a backless shirt or dress for my husband again. ONce again I can feel beautiful because my skin looks as good as I do.

To the people saying it does horrible things to your face...YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO USE IT ON YOUR FACE...it's for chest and back only...the skin in those places is a lot different, and I say that as a doctor.

I've been using the panoxyl bar 10% for about 5 days. I have extremely oily skin ... okay... so my skin is really oily and nothing I've ever used has gotten rid of my excess oil (or my acne) like it claims to do. This panoxyl really dries my skin out (not in a good way either). It doesn't just remove excess oil, it removes ALL the oil from my face (everyone's face needs a little oil). After about 3 days of using it, my skin around my mouth and nose began to crack and peel. Moisturizer doesn't really help. I even have a dark shadow around the dry spot. I just stopped using today and hopefully when my skin will heel quickly because I can't walk around much longer with my face looking as crazy as it does. The area around my mouth is so dry to the point that I can't even open my mouth fully because my skin begins to crack and tear (no exaggeration!). Honestly, I'm the kind of person that doesn't mind the side effects as long as I ge the desired resuly. I would gladly walk around with dry/p... Read more

This is the best product ever, I have been on it for about 3 years now and it the bottle that I buy, the gel facewash is great. I just dont want to go off it. I get the odd pimple but they are so small and I just dont care. I reccomend this to everyone but people with dry skin. this has made my face dry but only in the winter... when its dry anyways, so it could be the weather too.

I must say that I have used Pan O 10% 2 years ago and it worked really well, but then I stopped using it. However, just recently I have been experiencing some breakouts, but nothing major, so I used a mild cleanser and a little hope thinking it would eliminate the problem. Nonetheless, my problem did not go away. Now, here's the real kicker, I had a major breakout over the weekend (big, inflamed mushroom pimples) all over my face. The pimples were grotesque looking to say the least. Thereafter, I jumped in my Jeep and droved to the nearest Rite Aid store and bought a bar of Pan Oxyl 10%, and used it immediately when I got home, and used it twice before I went to bed, and placed a satin covering over my pillow to help absorb any oil. When I lifted my head up from the pillow and touched my face the next morning, I was estatic to feel the smoothness of my face. Then I walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror - it was like magic - all the big inflamed mushroom pimples were gone!! ... Read more

I have been using this product for about a week now and i must say it has totally dried out my acne. It was recommend to me by my friend and i think its best if your skin is oily that you use this product. If you have dry or sensitive skin this is not the product for you because it does leave your face dry after you use it, but a little moisturizer will take care of that problem. I definitly would recommend this to individuals with oily skin like myself, it is great.

I must agree that this product does work well to dry out and eliminate zits BUT it is so harsh on the skin. I just used it for 2 days twice a day and my skin got so dry even when lotion was applied, I also develpoed a bad rash that looks horrible and dark on my skin. Honsetly it looks worse from when I started using the product. The reason for me giving it 3 stars instead of one is because it does do what it is suppose to... clears and drys acne... my face is acne free but now has a hoorible rash. I belive it is too harsh for my skin and may be for others... so when considering using this product try the 5% bar first and only use it once a day with lotion and for washing the face any other time use a gentle cleanser.... then gradually move up from there to fit your skins needs. I used the 10% but I might try the 5% bar once my face heals from the dryness. be very careful since this is very strong and I think only people with moderate and severe acne should use .. if you have snesitive ... I'VE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR 2WEEKS NOW AND I SEE SUCH GREAT IMPROVEMENTS OF MY SKIN. I HAVE OILY SKIN SO IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET MY ACNE AND IT'S BLEMISHES TO GO AWAY. I USED PROACTIV, STRIDEX, ST.IVES, AND SOME OTHER ITEMS AS WELL AND NONE OF IT WORKS AS FAST AS PANOXYL. I USE PANOXYL BAR 10% AND THE 10% AQUA GEL AS WELL!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT TO THOSE WITH OILY SKIN!!

I just began using this soap a couple of days ago, and it's pretty good. I can already see it drying up the pimples. Like others have said, the soap does dry up your face, but it won't dry it up excessively if you use it right. Some people might want to get the soap, but are afraid of how it may dry up their skin and ruin their face or wherever they have acne. Let me tell you that I'm using this soap without any moisturizers. My face is dry, but not overly dry. First of all, when you get the soap, don't use a lot of it right away. Lather a little and wash your effected area, massaging gently for 1-2 min. Then rinse with warm water. THrough out the day, notice your skin's reaction. Some people get the product, lather a LOT, massage is A LOT, and then complain that their skin cracks and is really dry. Use it correctly and you won't have any problems. If you notice that your skin can handle more of this soap, lather more. Less is more, so do what's right for your skin. I have oily skin, s... Read more

I'm 21 years old and I have had acne since 4th grade. I began using PanOxyl bar last month and it is great! I noticed a change in my skin immediately. My blemishes have began to soften as well! I do not recommend this product if you have dry or sensitive skin because it is for serious acne cases only. It can cause excessive drying so I use one to two times per day. A non-oil based moisturizer should be sought for the winter months.

Great product if you're a serious acne sufferer. I am 40 and have had acne since I was 9. I've use EVERYTHING including prescriptions. My doctor put me on antibiotics that made so sick I had to stop taking them. I did a bit of internet research and found an article by a dermatologist saying if people knew how to use Benzoyl Peroxide properly he'd see half as many adult acne patients. He went on to explain that you have to use it all the time to work not just after getting a pimple. I discovered Pan Oxyl soap shortly thereafter. It was the only soap I found with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide and it's changed my life. It works as well as the antibiotics and I don't feel horrible.

I absolutely love this stuff. I actually found out about it while trying to find some reviews about ProActiv. Many others said that the Panoxyl 10% bar worked for them when ProActiv didn't. So I decided to give it a try. Nothing else had ever worked for me, well other than accutane. After the accutane I stayed pretty clear for about 5 years, then about 6 months ago I started breaking out pretty bad again. I was pretty upset and nothing was helping. I've been using the Panoxyl 10% bar for almost three weeks now and the results have been great. There are a couple blemishes here and there, but I have a lot of confidence that they will be cleared up in no time! I use it morning and night with Neutrogena "on the spot acne treatment". The combination can be drying and I wouldn't recommend it if you have sensitive skin. Recently I have switched from a Neutrogena moisterizer to Loreal Futur.e moisterizer. I have noticed even better results since I switched. Now all I have to do is find s... Read more

PanOxyl Bar is great!!!!Ive always had acne and blemish problems, to the point where i could not leave my house w/o makeup. After going to the dermatologist numerous times and using a varity of medicated acne medicine, i gave up. I was at walmart and saw panoxylBar and decided to try it. It worked wonderful!! I use it 2-3 times daily. I use cetaphil lotion as a moisterizer afterward to prevent dryness. Ive also started to use the Panoxyl gel which double the great results. These products are highly recommended. SB, Little Rock,AR

The Panoxyl Bar is a great product; I have been using the 5% benzoyl peroxide bar for about 8 years now, and whenever I stop using it, ie, when I run out and have to order some more, my complexion gets worse. I tried the 10% bar and it can be a little strong, especially in the winter, unless you have really oily skin. This product works better than anything else on the market, hands down. All of the other facial cleansers are just pretenders; they dry your skin but don't improve it, or don't do anything at all. Panoxyl, however, kicks ass.

PanoOxyl sucks hard.First thing it dries you out so bad that it leaves a dry layer of skin on you'r epidermis. This effect is so bad it makes it so you can't move you'r face and you look like a piece of beef jerky.Second thing, it traps oil underneath you'r skin and causes white heads, and bacteria growth, and much much more. Third thing it, cracks the skin and causes bacterial invasion.I would recommend cetaphil, let me tell you that cleanser ROCKS MY SOCKS!don't foget to take youre supplements too.

I have been using this cleaner for about 4 years now. It is a great choice if you suffer from acne; like myself. The only thing is that it dries out your skin, especially if you are using topical treatment. I really like the fact that it is a foaming, scent free cleanser and it removes ALL of your makeup, unlike cetaphil
