Houston Texans

This is a team that should do well in the regular season, but I just don't see them getting past a healthy, elite team in the playoffs.

The AFC is as wide open as it has been in several years now. The AFC is as wide open in 2013 as it has been in recent memory, giving Houston its best shot at a Super Bowl berth. But these guys always seem to crack at key points. They have a very well balanced roster, but Schaub is going to have to take his game to another level and he needs to stay healthy in order to have a strong playoff run. In spite of the presence of Andre Johnson and Arian Foster, their defense is really the bedrock of this team. Solid secondary, strong pass rushers, decent interior line.

This is a good example of a team that possesses undeniable talent, but is still lacking something that you can't put your finger on that precludes them from getting deep into the playoffs. A good team that should win their division, but is not ready to really seriously threaten to win the whole thing.
