Hard to imagine how society would get better if people didn't follow/practice this. I see many people wasting their lives over nonsense. I like to have a good time but work hard to improve myself and make my familys life better. I fail a lot but that is just part of the fight.

Industry is one of the most important virtues. It doesn't matter how much luck you proport to have, without hard work, you're not going to get anywhere in life. Being task-oriented is only part of the equation here; going above and beyond is the true manifestation of Industria. That means looking for creative solutions to problems, being consistent on the job, learning for the sake of self-improvment, and having a humanitarian approach to those around you.

Interesting list! Well, I'm home now after work drinking a beer and reading Rateitall, but I suspect the Romans had some wiggle room for not being industrious ALL the time. For my own part, I love being busy.
