SoCal has cities?  I thought it had many suburban towns close together.

First off, the east coast doesnt have 13 states, it has 16. You know, since the original 13 colonies, florida, maine, and vermont have become states. plus the number of states has little relavance

You moron 24 million of cali's 32 million residents are in SoCal which is basicly just the region the goes diagonally at the bottom. If you ever fly over SoCal you'll see it's just one big city.

It all started on the east coast, SIZE MEANS NOTHING, the west coast may have bigger states, but they aren't as populated, i am sure somebody will say something about how california is the most populus state, but that is only because it is big in size, new york, pennsylvania, and new jersey alone are only half the geographic size of california, but their combined populations add up to pass california by 8 million people, meaning that even without new york city, those mere three states would still be more populus than california!
