Unfortunately, there really is such a thing as a "gold digger".Blame it on the rampant materialism of our "culture".However, rich guys should not get too snide. That trophy wife will usually bang the buff gardner while Rupert is busy watching the Dow Jones fluctuate.

Yes, money is important, but also having a job is important too, but it isn't also the either measure of person, also.

I look for gold in the heart, not in the pockets.

Particularly effective with women who are easily fooled.  "My goodness Martin, your wallet must be as large as the Manhattan phone book!"

My wallet looks like it's from the 1800's.  One time I told my girlfriend it belonged to Abraham Lincoln.

Come on, fellers... Git yourself one of them big old trucker wallets on a chain, and fill it up with pitcher of your truck and dog, receipts from the liquor store, and non-winning lottery tickets. Don't worry about money, the girls only care about the size of the wallet...

50/50. I don't strive to settle with someone based on money, but being atleast stable and financially responsible is still important when choosing someone to trust your own financial security to.

Well, this list has taken a beating. . .but consider this- a man without a job or an education isn't all that appealing to a lady. Nothing personal.

This topic makes me sick. Women looking for sugar daddies. I see it all of the time surfing dating web sites. You would get a profile of a woman who makes under 25,000 a year looking for a man that makes over 50,000 a year. They should be happy if a man has a job, or can hold a job!

By wallet size I'm assumming you mean money. Money gives security and comfort and those are important. As I worked my way through this list I realized or at least it seems to be asking What should I look for in a man. Regarding money, I'll tell you what I told my daughters. Don't judge a YOUNG man by the money he has right now, because it's no indication of what he will be somday or what he will accomplish. When my wife and I started out, we had nothing. It was the journey that we took together and the life that we made together FROM NOTHING that we remember and treasure. If she would have judged me by the size of my wallet, we would have missed out on a lifetime of happiness and the family we had wouldn't exist. Look for the character of a man. Look at the way his friends and family feel about him, and how he feels about them. Don't look at the size of his wallet, because it's no indication of the man he can become.

Unfortunately this is a BIG thing for guys. I think we take it more serious than women do. I guess most dudes have to make up for something. I see so many guys buying vehicles they really can't afford because they have to impress others. BS, stand on your own two and be honest, if you can afford it, by all means, but if you're a player trying to be someone you are not...time will tell.

There's a reason our wallets are so close to our butts...ITS CRAP!(that doesn't even make sense?) I've met some poor folks who are some of the most amazing people this world has ever seen.

If wallet size is important, well then, you wouldn't have went out with any of the Apostles plus Jesus was poor financially. So if a man is poor that means he is not worth having?

This is a wonderful attribute especially if the man is generous, has excellent personal hygiene, a place of his own in a nice neighborhhood, good credit, pleasant smelling breath, good teeth, a nice body, a wonderful heart, at least 1 child, no baby-mama-drama, a good job, and a nice car.

Money is nice, but it would be even sweeter if I had my own money. And I'm sure guys wouldn't mind dating a girl with a bit of spare cash, either.
