My cousin told me about this i hadnt seen her in a couple months and when i did she was over 25 lbs lighter! I have lost weight already and began slimfast a couple days ago! Nothing had worked like this! it does work if you do it correctly! slimfast has a website that will plan your meals day to day and you can even replace something you dont like for something you do! it even gives you recipes! truthfully i dont think its so "expensive"- i think that there isnt a price to being in shape! i buy the optima, they are only $7 for a box of 8(i only buy a pack every 4 days) ! i used to spend that on 1 value meal at mcdonalds! anyways i dont know why people would rate the product if they havent even actually done the program! i love it and to all the people who didnt want to spend the money- Thats why youre still FAT!!!

Slim fast really really works. I eat my dinner for breakfast and have a shake for lunch and dinner. I am confused though at those who say it is expensive. I mean at most it is $1.25 per serving. That's pretty cheap people. I mean what in the world are you eating that fills you up and is cheaper then that?? But most diets do work. It is all up to the person. The hunger thing is horrible for the first week but you have to let your body get used to not eating as bad as you have been. I had a horrible headache for the first week and realized I wasn't drinking enough water. After I increased my water intake the headaches went away.

Me and Tommy Lasorda usually like to enjoy a six pack of SlimFast. For some reason, Lasorda will not tell me why are family pug, Milo, was cut as a utility infielder for the Dodgers*. Milo went to Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, was a Communication major, and had a 2.65 gpa. Sure he only batted 187 but Milo has pizazz.*Milo is now playing for the Milwaukee Brewers. His only other offer was from the Kansas City Royals.

I have lost 15 pounds since April... I have siginificantly reduced my calorie intake. I usually eat a good breakfast (such as an omelette - whichs keeps me full for hours, or fruit and yogurt), and then I usually have a Slim Fast Optima shake for lunch, and eat what I want for dinner in moderation. Some days, the shakes work well and keep my hunger down until dinner (I'd say a maximum of 4 hours), and other days, it does NOTHING. They are not for everyone, and there are days I need willpower not to have a snack between drinking a shake and eating dinner. But, I have lost a lot of my weight by this process... might not be the "right" way, but it's working. I also exercise 3-4 times a week.

I tried the diet for a few weeks, just wanting to lose 10 lbs that i gained over the holidays. ..and then gave it up....I found that by having a shake for breakfast and one for lunch, when it was supper time I was so hungry that I would overeat, i kinda expected this to  happen, because i like to start off my day with a big breakfast then go smaller as the day goes on...so i tried to mix it up, like have my breafast and then  a shake for lunch and supper...but this didnt work either, was too hungry by the end of the day.As for taste, I happen to think they taste really good, and have friends who tried it and think so as well, so its all just matter of opinion. I keep them on hand for those days when Im having a sweet craving, ill replace a meal with one and it satifies my sweet tooth really well. Also, i find when i have a shake it gives me great energy and I feel really good after, i just personally cant stick to it because i feel deprived. So I'm just gonna stick to the old fashion wa... Such a bad idea. For one, it's pricey and most people don't follow the diet "correctly". The shakes are supposed to be diet replacements but they leave you hungry and contain too much sugar. So if you snack in between, you will actually gain weight. If you are looking for meal replacements, best to look elsewhere.

A disgusting shake is 220 calories... there are MUCH better alternative meals worth the same amount of calories and with MUCH less sugar. Slimfast is a joke.

the slim fast diet is ok for after a weekend of eating junkfood and drinking too much. It's expensive so i only go on occaisionally and only for a few days at a time. I wouldnt advise this as a long term weight loss plan, but its good for getting you back on track.

I don't think Slim Fast is necessarily 'bad' for you. It is pretty much a cellulose based liquid supplement. It does two things. 1. It provides a source of fiber (cellulose) that pretty much promotes increased bowel movements. The idea behind this is that if food stays in your digestive system a shorter period of time, fewer bad things, like fats, will be absorbed into your bloodstream. But the drawback to this is that you will also lose some vitamins and minerals (many vitamins like Vitamin E are absorbed through fat), which are in addition to those you lose by not eating much besides Slim Fast. I did not find any appetite suppressing ingredients in the shake from reading the label so I think all it does is it lets you feel full (the product has a pretty high density) while effectively causing your body to expel food wastes. In the long run, I think it is just as effective to 'eat a sensible meal' by itself and skip the shakes. That is, unless you really like the shake itself for ... Read more

Slim Fast only works if you follow the "diet plan" enclosed, which simply instructs you to eat very few calories. If you follow that plan, you don't need the can of Slim Fast anyway. All it does is add sugar to your system, and in my case it raised my appetite.

I would give Slimfast diet about a 2.5 . I have tried a few of the flavors of their drinks. The chocolates are pretty good tasting, so is the strawberry. The cappucino is real nasty. I would not use Slimfast as a serious lose weight diet. For one thing unless I am not very hungry, one can of Slimfast is not enough to satisfy me. I cannot imagine making this two meals a day. I found that i was still hungry and then end up feeling guilty for wanting something else to eat. So i would not recomment Slimfast as a serious way to lose weight.

I tried this product to lose a couple of unwanted pounds and all it did was make me feel weak, deprived, and hungry. I wound up eating more and put on a little weight, rather than losing it. I do still drink it sometimes as a nutritional supplement, but I do not recommend this diet on its own.

Totally agree with Jaws...this stuff is not good for you. The real weight loss part has a lot to do with what you are doing when you're not drinking SlimFast (i.e., the "sensible meal", exercise, etc.). Also, it would take me about a 48 hour period to get so sick and tired of the taste of all the flavors I would end up running back to my old ways faster than if I'd been eating low-cal real food.

As far as just loosing weight this products works if you follow its program. As far as maintaining health stay away from this product. It causes you to lose more muscle than fat so you'll weigh less but look and feel worse (and be weaker). It's only a cheap nutritional suppliment and I mean CHEAP. You might as well starve yourself. You'll get the same effect.
