One of the oysters was served with some type of millipede crawling over it. We went there for lunch on Saturday. When we asked about the oysters, the waitress told us that the Fanny Bay oysters were salty and smaller. This was incorrect, so we ended up ordering tiny oysters that were the same price. When we ordered the larger oysters we intended to get in the first place, we realized that the waitress told us the wrong thing. She just said, "Oh well, sorry, you already ate them." Oh and the second batch of oysters had the bug in it.

The food is ok, but my problem is that the Bartenders that are serving touch everything, money then food. When they mix drinks they touch the lemons, limes, celery, whatever with their bare filthy hands. To make matters worse they insist on shaking all the customers hands at the bar during all this germ spreading!

Dantana's is simply the best sports bar in town. Great food, plenty of TV's and LOTS of beautiful women to enjoy.

This is the ultimate sportsbar. I have friends coming into town this weekend for our annual fantasy football draft (25th year!), so obviously we like football. Many of us also enjoy cigars and we all love to eat, therefore Dantanna's is the "one-stop-shop" for all of these things. The best part is, there is an outside seating area (with TVs), a cigar lounge and humidor (with a lot TVs), and there is the bar/restaurant (with a S-load of TVs). AND, since the cigar lounge and restaurant are sperate, the restaurant is smoke-free. I'll be there Saturday. Go Buckeyes!

First visit, sat at bar and was served by Katie - very nice and professional. Returned last Tuesday, May 12, and had lunch at the bar. Server/Bartender Jim has some personality issues. Acted angry that he was there, when I got the check and was putting in money to pay he rudely snatched it out of my hands, with no warning, like he was afraid I'd take money back out. I should have.

I like coming here and having a nice dinner. The service is good. The pricing is fair. All in all I do recommend this place for a romantic dinner or a nice gathering with coworkers after work.

My husband and I have eaten at Dantanna's on several occasions. The food has always tasted fresh and delicous, with one exception the bread. We didn't care for the bread. As for the desserts, they still have the Jack Daniels cake on their menu which isn't served anymore according to one of the waiters. However, the banana dessert is very good.

We dined at Dantanna's recently. Their food was pretty good. Fish was very fresh and nicely cooked. I did not enjoy the whole sports bar scene (I did not know that before I went there) but everything was good, just not amazing. I would not go back there again though it was nice trying.

I recommend going to Dantanna's for a late night drink at the bar, or even a late night dinner. The place does not close too late, probably a little before midnight so try to beat the rush of kitchen closing. You can sit near or away from the bar. The service was good when I was there, I was also able to enjoy the Olympics from where I was sitting. The menu is like the usual bar food with some other selections. The fish of the day is always something new and different.

Dantanna's is the best sport's bar in the city. It is upscale and the food is gourmet, quite an improvement from the standard sports bar.

I love going to Dantanna's when it's late at night....they have the best burger EVER!!! I really like that they serve some really good wines (like Tapestry for $15/glass - that's a steal). It's the best place to be if you want to go somewhere to chill late at night....it can get crowded and they run out of seats at the bar,....but if you go when it's not ver busy it's a great experience....high end sports bar. The staff is very friendly and after a while, they become sort of....your late night friends! I love it!

Our visit was on a Saturday night around 9pm. My mom is a steak expert. If you hand her a steak that isn't the cut she asked for she knows it. If the temperature is just past medium she knows that too. That said she seldom (never) gets a steak that she loves and an edible one usually takes at least 2 tries. Dantanna's managed to serve my mom a PERFECT steak. Juicy, hot, flavorful, sizeable. My mom enjoyed every bite and has decided to keep coming back despite the drive from Conyers. I also loved my steak and some really tasty mashed sweet potatoes. The girl at the desk was a little snotty but if you are persistent you can put your name on the list ahead of your arrival so you don't have to wait as long. They take your cell phone number and call you when the table is ready. If you are there when they call you are good to go. The crowd has a trendy feel to it but none of my party would be considered trendy and we still enjoyed ourselves. Also don't be scared away by it being... Read more

I sit at the bar and work using their free wireless internet. The bartenders are friendly and professional. Although non smoking inside, you can step out on into a covered heated/airconditioned patio to partake (New Yorkers would travel far for this amenity). They have an enclosed cigar club section in the back with a huge selection of premium cigars. The audio visual system is very professional, bright, crisp, not green and weak like most other bars. Music is not loud and relates to the low key patrons. The pricing is moderate; nothing good comes cheap. The food is very good. I highly recommend this joint to relax and have a drink. It's very sophisticated. I write this as I sit at the bar. Cheers!

In Short The interior--dark-wood paneling, leather seats and a black granite bar--is dressier than the average sports bar. The scene stealers are the futuristic-looking TVs, featuring translucent screens that can be viewed from either side. The New American menu focuses on seafood and steak: chilled Maine lobster salad, daily catches, filet mignon and rib eye. The options are plentiful, including a late-night menu, so stop by to catch a game or stay for the whole meal.

This place was not at all what I pictured, but at least the food was good. We had brunch and the lobster salad was phenomenal. My boyfriend had the steak tips and poached eggs, which were to die for as well. I expected something a bit more upscale, and I definitely imagined there being more TV's and comfortable places to sit being a self-proclaimed sports bar. The bloody mary bar was definitely the best part of the experience, and did I mention the food was delicious? If you want a true sports bar, drive a little further down Peachtree to the ESPN Zone. Otherwise, give this place a chance.

I was visiting the town for a business and accidentally ran into this restaurant on the first night. I must say that I was delighted to find this place. I sat on the bar by myself but the bartenders made me feel comfortable. A shrimp dish I had was very good and I could tell it was very fresh. Atmosphere of the place was pretty good at the bar. It would be a good place to hang out and meet people if I was living in Atlanta. I tried to get there at the end of my stay in Atlanta but it is tucked away from the major road next to a mall so it is not easy to find (especially driving a rental car in unfamiliar road). I would recommend Google map before you go if you have not driven around the area.

My wife and I love Dantanna's. Whether we want to dress up or go casual, this is where we go for a 5-star dinner with the best sports viewing around. The service is always friendly, but it's the food that makes this place so good. It doesn't seem quite right to call it a sports bar, but it is probably the best combination of sports, fun, fine dining, location, great people. Eat outside, eat inside, depends on your mood. Take advantage of some of their special functions, wine tastings, tec. Some of the best deals around. Seems like the chef always has something new on the menu. This is a must try. Thanks Dantanna's

I love Dantanna's! I have yet to have a bad meal, drink, dessert, or experience here. The patio is great and you can watch just about any sporting event that is televised. The service has always been good - not overbearing or pushy. I normally order a steak dish and it has never once been overcooked, and I can't say that for other restaurants in town. I will continue to go back to Dantanna's!

I was looking for somewhere to take my family from out of town. I looked up Dantanna's online and thought the menu looked amazing. We were surprised how large the restaurant is. Also, they have a large outdoor patio as well. There are televisions everywhere and the restaurant has a sports theme while still remaining classy looking. The service was fantastic. Everyone from the hostesses to the waiters were extremely friendly and helpful. As for the food, it was definitely the best part! My mother had steak, my father had the fresh fish special, and I had the lobster risotto. I couldn't have picked a favorite. We all ate off of each others plates! It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to go back!

It had been awhile since we dropped into Dantanna's, but with early holiday shopping at Lenox Square, we dropped in. We had just forgotten what a very nice establishment this is. Very good dining, with all the games. We just found a seat at the bar, grabbed our Dirty Grey's, and browsed over the menu. They always have a great selection of fresh seafood, flown in daily, but Wednesday's are Seafood Specials. Fresh Large Gulf Shrimp, stuffed with Crabmeat, and my date got a Skit Steak, that was perfect for her. Being a somewhat sports bar still, thank goodness all the smokers, were relegated to the heated and covered patio. There is no place else like it in Atlanta, with the games and great food!

As a last minute change in plans by my friend left me with nothing do on a Sunday afternoon in Buckhead, I went to this place to grab a bite and maybe watch part of a game. I got there early and got a great seat at the bar in front of the big screen. The bartenders were all very friendly and made me feel at home. Their service style of helping each other out really seemed to work with very few cases of them repeating questions to me like "can I get you something else?" As patrons came in, I found out really soon that this was a great place to hang out and watch a game and that the people there were very friendly. Even though the home team Falcons were playing, it seemed that everyone had another game or team they wanted to watch as well. The overall experience here was great and the food was wonderful. I ate early and had this outstanding Crab Hash over Filet medallions off their brunch menu. I ended up staying there for several hours and during the late game, a buddy joined me ... Read more

How one restaurant, concept and all; GOT IT RIGHT! From the menu- wine list, to the service and ambience. I was not expecting it, but was literally impressed. Where else in the city can you get a 12 oz Filet and Lobster Tail and watch the "big" game. It is a great place for large groups, buisness meetings and private parties. The service, the food, and their attention to what Atlantans want was impressive. We all love a great meal and a great game. Thanks Dantanna's for doing it right!

Spent a Thursday night here while in Atlanta on business. The staff was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. The crowd was a mix of locals and business travelers. My steak and aspargus were cooked to perfection. Food quality was high. The guys next to me had the same comments about their meals. I will defintiely be back to watch a game, have a meal or hang out with friends when I'm back in town

A couple of my friends and I went to Dantanna's to watch the Georgia game last night and the place was packed with guys and girls too. We went before the game to get a couple burgers and I wanted wings (they were aweseome). The bartenders seemed on top of things because I never really had to wait for a drink even though it was really crowded. It was a nice change to watch a game at someplace a little more upscale than jocks and jills. I'm going back next week too.

I went to Dantannas last night for the first time. I wasn't expecting it to be a great date place, due to the fact that it seemed more sports themed. But I have to admit, the ambience was amazing. My girlfriend was impressed with the overrall date, and I even got to catch up on my sports while we dined. The service was impressive; the server was well aware of the menu and he had a lot of knowledege on wine. So we got to learn as we dined. We ended up with a bottle of Pinot Noir. I had the filet, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My date had one of their daily seafood specials. I can gurantee I will dine there again, whether for a date or the big game. I would reccommend this place for any occasion.

I went to Dantanna's for a date and had an overall pleasent experience, but I had expected a better experience. Our waitress was very nice, and she did present and pour out our wine properly, but she just didn't seem to have much experience and wasn't really able to make any recommendations to us. I had the filet, which came out great, but my boyfriend's NY strip had tons of grizzle in it so he ended up eating only about half of it. The sides were well made however and the wine selection is pretty decent.

First time dining here last night. Our waitress was rude & abrasive. My friend has a speech impediment and our waitress said she couldnt serve him because he was clearly "trashed". This embarassed my friend as she pointed out his handicap in front of 3 other people that my friend did not know. My La Crema pinot noir arrived with lipstick on the glass & when I pointed it out, she said it must be mine (I am a guy and definately dont wear lipstick). Then, they just poured the same wine into a new glass. Disgusting. My friend's salad dressing was forgotten. Water was not filled. Then our table ordered two filets. One medium, one medium rare. Mine came out well done - no pink whatsoever - grey throughout. We had to send it back. My friend had finished his steak and 2 sides before my second filet came back. This time it was rare with a cold center. By this time we had been there for 2 hours. I was not about to send it back again. They clearly don't know how to prepare a steak... Read more

This is probaby the best sports bar in Atlanta. Definitely no sports bar's food menu can compare. Flat screen TV's everywhere, always a good crowd, friendly bartenders. The only negative is that the drink prices are a bit on the high priced side. But I still come here just about every week and I'm not living in a cardboard box yet so you can probably handle it as well.

I've eaten at Dantanna's twice, once at the bar on slow Saturday afternoon and the other during the Final Four. Both times it was not bad as far as food went. The burgers were good, but the service was almost too personal when the waiter leaned into check if my steak was done during the finale of the Big Dance. My date had a good time on both occasions, so it's definitely a repeat. It may even replace the sentimental fav on the otherside of the parking lot

Food? Very good- never had a bad dish Service? Not mind-blowing, but solid Atmosphere? Everything that's great about Buckhead Cigar bar? Enjoyable Television in bar area? Enormous Cocktail waitresses in miniskirts? You betcha! Anyone I've ever taken here? Gone away impressed Any cons? A little pricey for what it is, but you have to allow for the fact that's it's right in the heart of Buckhead. Really an excellent place. I was surprised that it was the highest-rated restaurant on Citysearch in the neighborhood, but I suppose it's because it consistently meets expectations. Top notch establishment. One note: I'd recommend Dantanna's for couples, but not for one of your first dates. It's quite loud at times.

We were in town for six nights and dined at Dantanna's 4 of the 6. Had a great take out lunch there one day as well. Tried something different on the menu each time and was never disappointed. It was definitely convienent to our hotel (right next door) but the food and service made it even more convienent. Although it is a bit pricey, the atmosphere, food, and staff were well worth it. Definitely will be going back when in the Atlanta (Buckhead) area again. They just beginning to expand the patio area while we were there, which will make the experience even better next time, since we sat on the patio each time.

Our service was adequate for a chained restaurant like Chiles or Applebees. But for 3 people to have a bill of $150 I was an embarraced host. Our server didn't present our wine (which at $50 a bottle was high dollar there) and served the lady at the table last. As the host I was embarraced. My steak ($31) was undercooked and I had to send it back. It came back wrong again and with the wrong sides that I ordered. When the manager noticed a problem he asked what's wrong. After telling him in a formal way my subtle complaint he said "WELL WHAT DID YOU EXPECT." His solution was buying us dessert. I didn't want anything for free. I just wanted to entertain my guest. They were not empressed.

I've always assumed that any "restaurant" with a sport theme has bad food, and until last week no one had proven me wrong. Dantanna's has completely crushed my theory, as I had one of the most outstanding meals I've had ANYWHERE. Service wasa prompt, friendly and professional, the ambiance is unmatched whether you want to watch a game or have a romantic meal. Dantanna's is my favorite restaurant in the world. It has everything that anyone would ever want. I like the food and the bar is amazing. The big TV's are pretty cool, too. The servers are always attentive but unobtrusive. I keep going back and am surprised how much I love everything that they have.
