I'm sure it's beautiful, and I have friends who live there, but It's EXTREMELY hot,I barely understand Hebrew or Arabic, and it's WAY too dangerous right now.

One of the all-time 'nice-place-to-visit-but-don't-ever-want-to-live-there' countries. Israel is very welcoming to tourists, especially Americans (we pay their bills, after all) and has many fascinating sights, a pleasant climate, and citizens from every corner of the globe. Terrorism aside, Israel is also a very bitter, crowded, and divided country; the social tensions (religious, political, ethnic) are easy for a visitor to deal with, but not something you'd want to live with on a day-to-day basis.

I love Francis Ford Coppola. However, I do not love the smell of Napalm in the morning!

Not unless they make peace with the Palastine people. I would love to visit the holy lands and soak up the culture but I think the U.S. haven't given the Palestinins enough assistants. Who wouldn't become violent if they were treated the way the government of Israel have treated the Palestinians?

Beautiful country but ravaged by war.

I have several friends from Israel who say that it is a lovely country, particularly along the coast. They've shown me pictures of fabulous beaches with clear, blue-green water and white sands. But with all the violence there and all the hate that is thrown from one side to the other, I don't know if I would ever want to live there. I would consider a visit, but that's all.

As much respect and admiration I have for Israel and the Holy Land, it is too volatile of a place for me to even consider living in.

Im not sure how Germany currently rates below Israel in desirable places to live. Of course, if Israel was a peaceful country id love to live there for a while, but at the moment the way things are, id feel safer in Iran or Rewanda.

Israel have a great military so there are no probable invasion worries, but there are also quite a few hard-line Palestinians who seem to like expressing themselves with bombs and rifles, especially after each terrorist leader gets killed by Israeli helicopters. The Hebrew language and perhaps their customs (if you're not a Jew) may also be a barrier. I'd personally stay in Australia.

The only country on the list where I could claim citizenship. It would be scary to move here though; I'm perfectly fine where I am.

Guess I'm a woos, I'd be scared to live here. Just put a big target on my back, you have to give the people in this country their props.
