 | Donovan (129) 04/29/2005 | UPDATE: God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. ORIGINAL MESSAGE: God is essential to happiness. Without him nothing is of any value. Keep in mind, those of you who are thinking I don't think so, my life without God was like a void. True I can not tell you how you are feeling, I can only speak for myself. For me God brings peace and joy. For me God brings life and hope. For me God is the glue that holds my life, my family and my world together.

 | irishgit (138) 12/08/2004 | For me, utterly irrelevant. It's not that I don't believe, its that I don't care. For those of you who do, fill your boots, and march on to your paradise without me.

 | Elf_ears13 (1) 10/15/2004 | I'm sure people may think they are happy without Him, but they have obviously never known true happiness.

 | Redoedo (39) 06/25/2004 | A faith in a higher being and a belief in the afterlife brings happiness to so many, including myself. It's not necessarily essential to happiness for some, but I don't believe that you truly find happiness until you find Him.

 | JonTheMan (27) 04/20/2004 | One day when I was much younger, I asked God to help me find the remote control, he didn't and we've been distant ever since.

 | kolby1973 (32) 04/20/2004 | This is really just a title, as there are so many gods..good and bad. But if you are talking about the god that you worship, then I would imagine he/she would make you happy...

 | kamylienne (77) 04/19/2004 | For some, yes; for me, no (hence the 3). For some, their religion fills them with the satisfaction of life they need. For others, we're perfectly good without it.

 | minkey (36) 04/19/2004 | I know people who don't believe in God who are perfectly happy. They believe in other theories and that when they die, that's it. It doesn't make them unhappy - they live life to the fullest, knowing that they only have 1 chance here. If you believe in God, great - religion helps to provide moral structure and the hope of life after death - but I know that it is not essential for happiness.
