Why this is so far down the list is beyond me. This is another cover that passes the original in quality, and that's saying something to pass the Who. The best work Limp Bizkit ever did, bar none.

The Who's version is 100 times better.

I appreciate Irishgit's and Oscar's comments (Oscar has probably forgotten more about music than I'll ever even know) but I have to go with Ignatius and kamylienne on this one. I'm not a fan of Limp Bizkit but I saw the video for this song and I thought it was pretty cool. His voice does the song justice, I think, and somehow the lyrics are believable coming from Fred Durst. And I especially like the sampling in the very middle of the song. What kamylienne calls the "speak 'n' spell" portion. It makes the song more current. So with all due respect to the people who might know more about music than I do and who don't like Limp Bizkit I have to say that I really like this cover.

An mind-numbing cover of a mediocre Who song from a band that is the musical equivalent of a root canal without anesthesia.

A travesty, outright sacrilege from these monstrous frauds.

Well . . . I haven't heard the original to compare it, but regardless, it's not too bad. Certainly the most innovative use of the Speak 'n' Spell that I've ever heard . . .
