Never have I had a restaurant so willing to accomodate me. I couldn't make up my mind between the wasabi bowl or the fish tacos so they gave me both, half a bowl and one fish taco. It was outstanding and the prices aren't to be believed, they are dirt cheap and the food is wonderful. I wish I had them at home, I'd be there every week. The wait staff is more than friendly, I even got a hug on my way out. Not to be missed when in San Francisco!

i eat here at least once a month and everything i've ever had has been delicious! my favorites though: ahi poke wasabi bowl, sweet potato fries, grilled artichokes. tiny space so you may have to wait if you want to dine-in but it's totally worth it!

I had the unagi rice bowl or dinner and started having weird stomach grummblings a few hours later. The next morning I woke up and basically spent the entire day running back and forth from my bed to the bathroom. Luckily, I'm a relatively healthy person and got over it in 24 hours but imagine what it could have done to a kid. I'm never going back - I don't care how good the food is or how popular the place is. It's not worth it.

Just moved to the neighborhood and checked this place out because of all the favorable reviews. I was not disappointed. I'll return again and again! To say the sweet potato fries will rock your world is the understatement of the year. They are crispy, non-greasy, full of sweet potato flavor, and perfectly salted. I'm salivating just thinking about them. I had a shrimp taco, a mahi mahi taco, the fries, and a lemongrass iced tea and my bill was less than $13. Everything was cooked fresh to order on the grill behind the counter. I didn't have any kind of wait to sit down, but then again I was there at lunchtime during the week. It'll be interesting to see how busy it gets at night or on the weekend, but take-out is available so no worries - if the wait is too long I'll just take the food home. Highly recommend this place.

The sashimi rice bowls are the best take out dish ever. The sandwiches are also great. It's tough to get a table and the place is definitely too small but well worth the wait. Affordable too.

I think this is one of my favorite restruants in the City (and Marin). It's small so seating is tight, but the food is always great!!! And the staff is nice. The one in Marin is much larger, but almost feels like a large chain. Stick to the one in the Marina.

Thank You Citysearch members for steering us to this outstanding eatery. My wife and I live in landlocked Denver. In the age of overnight air freight, terrific seafood is readily available in our neck of the woods. Still, wherever we travel we make it a point to savor commodities the locals might take for granted. We are value-oriented Chow Hounds who seek-out the freshest of ingredients prepared simply and deliciously without pretense. With that in mind, Pacific Catch might be our greatest dining discovery. It's like a comfortable neighborhood Steak & Egg Kitchen that just happens to prepare pristine sushi-grade seafood with an Asian twist behind the counter; instead of omlettes and flapjacks. The quality and quantity of food we received might easily have commanded triple he price elsewhere. DO NOT miss the sweet potato fries. We dream of them still. Chili-heads should order them with the spicy salt mixture. There are a handful of cozy tables in the storefront window, but there's noth... Read more

This is a great neighborhood place if you don't want to break the bank. There is table and counter dining. You can also get a beer or glass of wine. The food is good and always seems to be fresh. The place is always crowed to get there early.

On of the best places in the Marina, neé San Francisco. The fish is fresh and always taste great. You can't beat sweet potato fries (must use the aioli dipping sauce). Something for every mood...fried fish/shrimp/oysters, big terriyaki bowls and delish salads. Quick takeout, as well, for nights in. My only wish is that they had a little more space for larger tables. It's my go-to joint!

I have eaten dinner before and then when my roommates begin discussing picking up Pacific Catch... I actually contemplate eating a second dinner!!! Every item I've tried has been delicious... my absolute favorite is the wasabi poke bowl! It gets really crowded but is definitely worth any wait!

Tables are a bit too close for comfort BUT worth it! It's a must have. The bar area in my opinion is the best place to eat because you have the cooks to entertain you. My suggestion would be getting there early enough to get a table because they do not take reservations.

I heard about this place in Seattle, and had to check it out...such a great little restaurant. I could tell it was a local favorite (Marina neighborhood). This place has a crazy value attached to some really cool food. Asian, mexican, california, hawaiian...all grilled fish-based. Servers are fun, too. Tiny place, not for more than 3-4. Counter is perfect for 1 or 2. Worth a look.

One of the first places I ate in San Francisco was Pacific Catch. I got the Wasabi Ahi Sandwich and the fiancee got the Grilled Salmon Teriyaki Rice Bowl. Although I was not too impressed by the teriyaki rice bowl, the salmon was fresh and tasted great and the portions were good. The Wasbi Ahi Sandwich on the otherhand was Excellent! The tuna was fresh, and was excellently paired with ginger, avocado, daikon sprouts, and wasabi mayo. The ciabatta bread was warm, just a bit crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, not to mention the excellent sesame cole slaw side. And you must pair everything with some Sweet Potato fries!

You have to try the salads with the poke, the wasabi bowls and the fried sweet potatos with the tangy dip. The food, tasty as it is creative, is fresh and the service is friendly. You certainly get your money's worth at Pacific Catch. Even the prices of the dishes are reasonable. But good luck trying to find parking nearby.

I saw this little restaurant on Citysearch prior to my trip to San Fran. We stopped in for lunch as an alternative to eating at the Wharf, and it was certainly the right decision! Excellent, fresh tacos, great sweet potato fries and the ahi wasabi rice bowl was excellent. The service was tops and friendly. Cheap eats for fresh seafood in San Fran and it was on a very charming street. Afterward we went down to Union Street and walked the shops. A perfect afternoon!

but not sure how you want it served? Pacific Catch is the place to go. Partner and I had a hankerin' for seafood, so we checked this place out. A variety of dishes made this a great place for folks who like different cuisines. The place wasn't really crowded for a Friday night, but the service was a bit inattentive. We started with Coconut Encrusted Shrimp - a bit too much coconut for my taste, but still nice. I had tacos - salmon and shrimp. Very flavorful. Partner had an ahi rice bowl. Plentiful portion of his dish made it tough to finish. We both enjoyed our meals and, contrary to other reviews, we found the prices quite reasonable. We look forward to returning and trying some other dishes.

The Scene Cheerfully bright colors accent a smattering of tables, and bar seats run the length of the room. Though noise from the kitchen echoes off the wood floors, the good-natured cooks make it a pleasure to be part of the bustle. Avoid the lunchtime rush--between strollers and neighborhood professionals stopping by for a bite, finding a seat can be trying. The Food The low-priced menu features fish prepared in a variety of appealing low-cost guises. From spicy, barbecue-glazed, grilled mahi mahi to crispy, coconut-sweetened, chili-spiced shrimp, the menu roams the culinary map of Pacific influences. Don't try to resist the tuna's lure, whether in a tart soy-sesame poke over a heaping bowl of moist organic rice or seared, sliced and fanned over salad spiked with Asian vegetables and soy-wasabi vinaigrette. Don't miss the sweet-potato fries--salty, sweet and just the right bit of heat from the Thai chili or jalapeno tartar sauce.

Pacific Catch is a tasty fast meal on Chestnut. The fish is great in any of the salads, rice bowls, or sandwiches. I recommend anything with ahi or salmon. The best thing going is the sweet potato fries. Only downside is it is a little pricey for the category and at times hard for seating. It is very popular for early dinners. Definitely worth a try.

I live in San Mateo and just happened to be in the city & found this great local fish resturant. The Ahi appetizer was great, so was the MahiMahi sandwich. I wish they would open a location on the peninsula.

This place rocks. Great quality food. Everything totally fresh and prepared to order. Consistently delicious and flavorful, and best of all, totally affordable. Nice people & hip, fun approachable atmosphere. The first place I think of going for a healthy, quick meal. And they have chicken and great grilled tofu, so you can go with non-fish eaters!

I have to admit that I was such a skeptic at first - the food seemed too cheap. But after one bite, I was sold! The fish is just so fresh!!! And always cooked perfectly. It's a very small seating area, so it's really better as a takeout place, but I've had some great dinners with friends at the bar seating area. My favorite dishes: Ahi Tuna over Salad or in a "Wasabi bowl" and don't forget the sweet potato fries

I live near the Marina and this is the perfect restaurant for the area - great value (not super cheap - about $10 or $12/person - but very high quality), great food, healthy, fairly quick, friendly.... I go there at least once a week and I haven't been let down yet, I think I'm turning into a Pacific Catch junkie.

Pacific Catch is really trying to give service under busy takeout conditions and unpredictable trends in customer tastes. They are always courteous and bought my beer when they made me wait a little too long.

Although this place is a pretty good value for what you get the service is AWFUL! The three times I've gone there they've screwed up my order and kept me waiting for over 25 minutes!! During my last visit, I watched as the screwed up five orders in a row and kept customers waiting in the cramped quarters. The decent food is not worth the hassel!
