Pirates of the Caribbean

One of the best movies ever for me. Simply because Johnny Depp is playing his part extremely well. I've watched it over 20 times, all first 3 of them, just because it is hilarious every time. It is not just how he plays in it, but how he speaks in it as well. Watched it in my native language too (Hungarian) which was good, but nowhere near the original!
They wanted to make a pirate movie that is so good that noone else would create one after theirs. I do believe that they succeeded.

Great series. Full of action, never a dull moment, and funny too! Johnny Depp really made the movie, but the other actors and the writing was great too.

The movie was fantastic. Its sequels were even more fantastic.

Loved all three movies. Lots of action, maybe too many twists in the third but still entertaining. A fun summer blockbuster. Knightly, Bloom and Depp showed off their chops in all the movies.

Pirates of the Caribbean was OK. The quirky Captain Jack Sparrow seemed like he was almost designed to be played by Johnny Depp, but I don't really see what was so special about this movie. The movie was entertaining enough the first time I saw it, but it wasn't good enough to make me want to watch it again.

I thought it was very entertaining and Johnny Depp was totally hot.

Good film overall. One star less for Depp and Bloom having any cred as tough guys. Fun movie though.

The first movie was pretty good but gets old after additional viewings. Second one was awful...didn't even bother seeing the third one.

I like Pirates of the Caribbean.  Johnny Depp is great as Jack Sparrow he was funny.  The only problem I have with the movie is that it is too long.

  I give it a 4.5. Its an interesting Disney movie based off the famous DisneyLand attraction. Johnny Depp was great as Jack Sparrow, a pirate who wants to get his ship back from Barbossa, a pirate whos under a curse along with his crew. They are searching for the last pieces of the aztec gold. Overall its pretty good with the only complaint of being a bit overlong.

A fun fantasy,not to be taken as at all representing true Pirate History.Great Sets,costumes and acting.The only fault I find with this is that it was too long.(3 hours)

I hate pirates wearing eye shadow and mascara!

i personally found this to be a great film. sure it may not have the deep soulful meaning of some movies, but c'mon. it's a pirate film. and when compared to that category, i thought it to be quite good. i might have made sparrow a little less... femanine, had i directed it myself, but it's johnny depp. and i couldn't see anyone else playing that role. so i guess in all, i've got not complaints with this film. i actually enjoyed it and it's sequel.

This is just a fun, entertaining movie and shows even more depth of Johnny Depp's acting ability.

good imaginative movie. never thought this could be anyone good. who would think a movie taken from a Disney ride would be entertaining. Johnny Depp was the best of all as Jack, funny terrific. good special effects.

Good quality easy on the brain fun. Much as I respect Depp's acting ability I cant figure out what accent he was trying to do. Normally his English accents are spot on. The one weak link in the film is Keira Knightly IMO. She hasnt got the charisma or sex appeal of Angelina Jolie to be able to take on leading roles. She's pretty enough but not particularly sexy.

Great fun! Didn't expect it to be such a ride! I even liked Johnny Depp in this. He's a great actor if a little bizarre sometimes.

Plain out, great movie. I loved every aspect of it, and the acting was all very well done. Johnny Depp portrayed Jack Sparrow very well, as did Orlnado Bloom as Will.

This is the best pirate film in ages. Costuming great. The Acting waqs good. Though really Johnny Depp stole the show.

Depp's performance and the the fact he was a ghost made it worth the silly action.

An awesome movie. Johnny Depp outshines everyone else in my opinion. Great effects. I actually did not expect anything. So I waited until it was realeased on DVD, but now I wish I would have watched it on the big screen. Can't wait for Part 2.

Incredibly well made. Geffory Rush and Johnny Deep are both subperb in this. The story is interesting and isn't predictable and the special effect were awesome. (I could go on at how great this movie was or what was great about it but that would take all night!) One of the greatest movies of all time. Definatly up there with Star War and Raiders of The Lost Ark.

Not a bad movie, it was enjoyable the first time I watched it. After that, it wasn't that good. I seriously don't understand why people like it so much, though.

It was alright, but far longer than it needed to be...

All the girls in my class had pictures in their notebooks and were yelling (really yelling) stuff like JOHNNY DEPP IS HOT IN THIS MOVIE! and they weren't joking! But I still liked the movie even because I don't think it was ment to be about teenyboopers but about pirates.

I liked it a lot... you should have seen at school right when it came out... it was an OBSESSION with half the school. I never liked it THAT much, but I'll admit it was good.

Why is rum gone? This movie has it all! Fights, comedy, you name it!

Good Movie...but people, certainly and defintely no historic enough to br in the top 20....Its like one of those movies which stays with you until another great comes...but its ok for popcorn freaks.

I don't know about a lot of other people, but I'm not very into pirates. I never saw previews for the movie or anything! My friend invited me to see it and I was thinking, eww, why would I want to see a pirate movie? I went with just because I didn't want to stay home alone. After I got out, I was in love and saw it again and bought the DVD! Then, I remembered that one of the best rides was made after it, too! The cast, setting, everything was wonderful! I really think that you should go see it. Just to let you know, the beginning is a little boring, but you'll hopefully like it. There are a few scarier scenes, but nothing to worry so much about!!!
