A great actress. She was so good in the Coal Miners Daughter. Loretta Lynn hand picked Sissy do play her in this movie boy did she make a good choice! She got a well deserved Oscar for this role. I also thought she was a hoot in A Blast From the Past.as the 60s mom raising her son in an bomb shelter. so funny. I also liked her in the recent tv movie Midwives. She makes every role believable.

She is one of my all-time favorite actresses. I first saw her in "Carrie", and she gave me chills. She was brilliant in "Coal Miner's Daughter" and won a well-deserved Oscar. She also should have gotten an Oscar for "In the Bedroom", where she played the grieving mother of a murder victim.

CREEPY CARRIE....CREEPY CARRIE HA HA HA !!!!! It took a great performance in 1980 to beat Mary Tyler Moore's Waspy mother from Hell in 'Ordinary People' and Spacek's was the performance to do it for 'Coal Miners Daughter'

I think she's a pretty good actress (Coal Miner's Daughter was the best)--but she absolutely has the WORST nose job in all of Hollywood. I'm including Michael Jackson in that calculus.

Yuck. Never liked her. Over acted every thing I have seen her in. Now I'm sure that she's in her mid years we'll be seeing fake boobs and lipo. Sad, Sad. Just Sad.

Apart from being a very talented actress and a fine singer (when she`s had the chance), the impression I get from Sissy Spacek when watching her films is that she`s a beautiful person, in more ways than one. Quite unique in a strangely attractive way, and hard not like, or feel some emotion for at least in anything she`s ever done. Love her to bits!

Among the five star actresses. I love Sissy's work passionately. "Badlands," "Carrie," "3 Women," "Coal Miner's Daughter," "Raggedy Man," "Crimes of the Heart," "The Long Walk Home" "In the Bedroom"-the list goes on and on. Bless her!

Sissy may not be beautiful to everyone, but I think she is. And not only is she gorgeous, but the woman can act like no other. She has had so many good roles, and she is really someone to look up to. I look forward to seeing her in many more movies in the future. Highly recommend Coal Miner's Daughter, and Carrie.

I think Spacek isn't higher on this list because she doesn't crank out the movies. Frankly, I think she was robbed of the Academy Award for her performance in "In the Bedroom". I saw Halle Berry in "Monster's Ball", and she was good, but Spacek was sublime.

I'm really surprized that she so far down on the list. Every movie she does is great. She makes her roles so believable. I look forward to her next movie. Just grab any of her vidios off the rack and you can be sure to enjoy it. She makes a movie better by just her being in it.

Talent means truly becoming the character you portray, and Sissy does this so well. Loved her "The River" and "A Place for Annie"

ARE YOU PEOPLE NUTS? Why on earth wasn't Sissy Spacek's name way higher on this list? This woman is a 5-star actress if there ever was one!! And it's not like she's new or anything. Since her outstanding performance in Carrie in the 70's she has been in many movies in many different, and all outstanding roles!! Everyone PLEASE see The Long Walk Home in which she starred with Whoopi Goldberg!!!

Her amazing ability to completely become the person she is portraying puts her in the company of other seasoned top acting talents of our day such as Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Dustin Hoffman. She was unforgettable in the film horror classic, "Carrie" and continued to astound audiences and critics alike in a numerous selection and variety of films throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's. Her roles have run the gamut from strangely disturbed teen (Badlands, 1973), to devoted wife and mother (The River, 1984) to her incredibly realistic portrayal of country music legend Loretta Lynn (Coal Miner's Daughter, 1980) in which she not only flawlessly captured the persona but also the sound and style of this well-known performer. As time marches on and, since her earlier success was based on her innate talent and not fleeting youth, big boobs or pouty lips, I would be willing to guess that age will do little to lessen her ability to act. If she opts to continue her career well into old age I a... Read more
