Well, you know the only two specific pieces I can think of with two famous melodies are the Barber of Seville Overture by Rossini and the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky. Oh yeah, Rossini's William Tell Overture has three of them, all in a row. It is definitely the greatest piece ever written. Not even Beethoven's Symphony #5 is as good.

Over-rated - just wrote a couple of good operas. That doesn't make one a great composer. Not varied enough in musical realms.

Rossini's..."William Tell Overture"..! This composer has delighted more people across the world than I can begin to elaborate. When I was in the eigth grade, then was when I performed this piece for an entire student body of both kids and adults. Something about Rossini's composition touched 'me' as well in the venue's of importance. To this day I can play The William Tell Overture by memory on a 9'concert grand...and still I love it! Thanks Rossini.
