Don't by electronics from this company! I have ordered two sets of telephones and both sets have quit working at the 3 month return date. The first time I sent back the telephones and they were to credit me on my credit card for the return since I bought the replacements at the time of the complaint. I had to fight for the credit 3 months later, and still do not know if the credit has been applied to my credit card. The second set of telephones failed just after the 3 month period and I get nothing. That is 4 telephones to fail in a 6 month period. Not very dependable.

My experience with overstock.com is that they have pictured the wrong product, use misleading headliner discriptions and include pictures of items that look to be part of the item being purchase but are not. I have purchase over a dozen items from overstock.com and 1/3 of them have not been as expected. I am done with them.

I ordered a set of CD's from there, and they were obviously a returned item. I got a lot of hoohaw from them before they would give me credit for the purchase - after I returned the item.

I wouldn't trust this site with my business.  They're just slimy.  They're the first business to ever be completely banned from Wikipedia because of their repeated spamming of their own listing.  They also do sleazy things like like their Yahoo shopping products at absurd amounts just to show up first.  This just strikes me as a slimy, unethical business, I don't want to have anything to do with them.

I paid 187.99 for a rug. The description was not accurate and a phone call to customer service did not help either. Once I reeceived the item it was totally wrong for me. I had to pay an additional $37.00 to return it because overstock refuse to send me the electronic label. Then I was credited $167.00 for the item, $20.00 less than I paid. Never order from overstock again. I must spread the word.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! When you read shipping takes 2-15 days, you don't actually think it will take 15 days to get there. Well it took even longer. After it had been 17 days since my order had supposedly been shipped, I contacted overstock. They informed me that they would place a track on this item and would get back to me in 4-7 days. 7 days later I contacted them again. I was informed this time that the track was unsuccesful and they would try again. I declined and was refunded my money after waiting 10 days for it to show up on my credit card. DO NOT use overtock.com, even if it is your only option.

Ive bought a few things off of overstock and its been great. I have to wonder where they come up with the original prices though. They have alot of off brands that are not sold anywhere else that appear to be VERY expensive, so when you see 50% off or whatever, you think you are getting a deal, but Im starting to think the original prices are inflated ALOT! The items I have bought have been things I can compare in the stores or online, but other things you cant compare. The restocking fee is stupid. I bought a purse one time and it stunk like mold. So by the time I paid shipping and the restocking fee...I might as well have kept it.

I have purchase several things from Overstock.Com in the last 2 years and had no problems until now. I purchased a pair of Tommy Bahama shoes and submitted the order. My walked in and said she wishes I would have ordered the black. So I called customer service to change the order and was told I could not. The fraud department would have to cancel it and I could reorder. (was told this was not a problem since order was not processed yet). I get an email next day from fraud department that it is to late order is processed. I called customer service to see what my options were at this point and was told I could return it and pay a restocking fee. In the past they have been OK but if this is the way they handle cancellations I can no longer do businees with them. I just recieved an email from them saying case was closed satisfactory. I sent an email reply back to say it was not, I got an autoresponder that said that said my email address was not recognized. (nice job overstock.com) You l... Read more

I've never personally shopped with Overstock.com but my boyfriend has. He ordered a DVD as a present for Christmas, that clearly states in the description that it comes with a limited edition action figure, but was shipped without said action figure. He tried contacting them via email and got a response that had absolutely nothing to do with his inquiry. He emailed them again, and again received a response that was less than satisfactory. He tried contacting them via live chat and received no help there either. He tried contacting them via phone but had to wait on hold for upwards of 45 minutes. Needless to say this experience left something to desired. My boyfriend was so pissed off that he decided to give up, but I work in customer service and decided that I wasn't going to let this slide. So I contacted them via phone and spoke with Pat at extension 3448 who spoke to me like I was retarded and tried to tell me that the description did NOT say that it came with an action figu... . No flexibility. Once you'v placed an order you cannot make changes. Each order must be placed individually. . Ordered (5) basket. Each was delivered with someone elses name attached and no identification of the sender. When contacted overstock.com offered no solutions or help to the recipients. . Stay away from this site.

Thus for, I've had one good situation with this company, other then that, perhaps one should consider purchasing their items elswhere. On two different items, one a bird feeder, and the other a camera, I was shipped the wrong item. When I inquired about the camera, the answers were' that great. The bird feeder they shipped is a nice looking one, however the lights on it doesn't work properly. Bottom line is, they save money but at what overall cost. Additional I did contact them on their live chat support, with little success, as he indicated if I send it back, I most likely would be charged for an restocking fee. It was there mistake not mine. To you that haven't had problems, good luck, as your turn is next.

If they had a minus five, I would have clicked it. I had a bad experience with overstock.com about a year ago when they sold me a table at 65% off and I found the same item at Target.com not on sale for 29 dollars cheaper. Now one year later after hearing that overstock.com fixed both their customer service and their business practices, I thought I'd give them a try. The only thing that arrived that was what they stated on their webpage was a pair of earrings. I order a bulk quantity of slippers, six pairs, but they only sent six slippers so I managed to not save but pay twice as much as I would have buying individual pairs. My other products haven't arrived yet because some glitch in their system changed my home address from 1815 to 1024. UPS got one box, the slippers to me, but required the shipper to notify them for the other box which is insured. I contacted overstock.com for the last three days asking that they verify my address with UPS since UPS asked that the shipper contact th... Read more

I ordered all my living room furniture for under $800 and it was delivered within a week - no shipping costs either. The site's description of the furniture was spot on in all cases.

I buy a lot of things on-line, and bought my husband a gold watch from Overstock.com for his birthday (3 weeks ahead of time) --one of two left in the warehouse. The transaction started off good: they called me at work to verify my order. So far, so good. Problem is, it never arrived. After 10 days I called and was told I had to wait 14 days to do anything. At 14 days, I used their on-line form and also called customer "support." Someone (from India, I suspect) promised they'd "put a trace on it." Through multiple other calls, I found out that the watch never got to UPS, because it never left the warehouse. They never did find it. (I think someone stole it and their inventory control is lousy). After a fair amount of hassle, we did get a refund. My husband was very disappointed, but we found a watch he likes better. I'd NEVER order from Overstock.com again. NEVER.

These guys are scammers. I ordered 2 chairs, 2 sofa tables, and a hall tree for a total of almost $1000. The chairs were pretty much as expected and arrived undamaged. One of the sofa tables arrived damaged and they are trying to get me to pay a restocking fee to return it. The hall tree they claim retails for $450 but it is a Walmart quality, ready to assemble piece of crap that is worth maybe $25 to $40. Remember folks that when you have a problem like this to dispute the charges with your credit card company until such time as the merchant resolves all issues to your satisfaction.

One order was placed 20 days ago, credit card was charged. Another placed 7 days ago, credit card charged. I have not seen merchandise for either one. They say products are lost in warehouse. They will not reimburse my credit card. I will never use again!

Don't know how good they are for other stuff but they're great for books. I've ordered from them a couple of times and got them in 9-10 days with no problems. If you're ordering just 1-2 books and aren't in a hurry to get them, you'll save a few bucks over Amazon. Overstock only charges shipping per book, not the additional flat fee that Amazon tacks on (which they only waive if you order over $25).

This is so pitiful. I have heard wonderful things about overstock.com, except for a few complaints about shipping times being too long. I placed an order at the beginning of December and received half of it, while the other half is out there somewhere. I was assured that everything would delivered by Christmas because the order had been placed more than early enough. Well, Christmas has come and gone and half my order is roaming the land still. Customer service tried to play it off as the couriers fault. As far as I am concerned, it is there fault. They won't trace the package or even give me an update. This is my first, last, and only time dealing with this merchant. Also, their prices are not as great as they claim to be in many cases. I am great at finding deals and this website is not as discounted as they think. If you don't mind not receiving your order in a timely manner and getting the runaround when you complain, then shop there, otherwise, do what I am doing and st... Read more
