love to watch foodnetwork I am a real junkie. However I really hate The Next Foodnetwork Star, Some of the challenges are just to much,I remember when Bobby Flay first started on the Network he was no boy wonder and yet they expect way too much from these contestants. They tell them not to be fake and pushy, But what about the Neeley's they are so hokey I wanna puke. Lets not forget dear Martha Stewart saying she does not eat sloppy joes and the poor contestant being afraid she offended her. Well maybe Martha could have been nice and not have acted like she had a stick dtuck up her snooty butt, and why should this poor girl have to worry that Martha is to stuck-up to eat sloppy joes when 90 % of america eat sloppy Joes. I bet a lot of the contestants have some really great potential it is hard to show it under the pressure that the Judges put on them.

Love to watch foodnetwork, but I do not like all the re-runs of the shows.  I love to copy the recipes and the web site is easy to use.  Also I love to watch Paula Dean, but why does she have to eat with her fingers or lick them and then touch the food again?  Surely she did not do this when she prepared food when she was the "Bag Lady".  Come on Paula, let's get those hands washed and use a spoon for tasting!

I see that Food Network just added another program hosted by someone whose first language is not American-English. I looked at their website to ask why but could not find a link to do so. Apparently, they feel they are so successful that they do not offer customer comments to the network. I just saw that they added another new progra hosted by a chef who has a deep British accent. Do you think they could add one more TV show that features chefs with a foreign accent that we cannot understand because of their deep accent or the inconsistent volume when they speak? Do they have a clue that it is so frustrating that we switch channels?

(rating based on quality of website, not the television station) Foodnetwork.com (also at foodtv.com) is a great tool for people like me who, simply put, cannot cook. While they, understandably, skim over basics during their shows, their website provides not only recipes that are featured on the show, but they also feature streaming video on how to do the basics with their cooking demos: everything from filleting salmon to how to do different cuts is explained in fine detail so that even the most inexperienced would-be chef could understand. And they have a how-to section just for kids. The site also has shopping, kitchen design, lists of travel sites with great food, healthy food tips, party ideas and easy meal ideas, all located on little tabs on the main page. Overall, easy-to-navigate site, and full of valuable information.

I also have watched many food-tv chefs come and go but the favorite of all time within my network of friends and relatives of home viewing, is Malto Mario and Sara Molton. they are consistent in their delivery. One looks for style, not notority which the Essesence does - Emeril hogs prime time and he should be moved. Put Sara back with a bang - although she looks pretty haggared. I have cooked with both Malto and Sara's recipes and they are celebrities to keep. Please let the Essesence leave. Gald to see Martha is gone -

I love vegetarian receipies of Giada De Laurentiis and Rachel Ray. After I started cooking those receipes, I have become expert in international cooking. Specially 30 minute meal. I love that concept. I am a homemaker and 1st generation immigrant from India. My dream is to come on Rachel Ray's show one day. Can I do that? What do I need to do? Ila.

Hello; I watch The Food Network daily but was concerned with the program I watched today. The program centered on low Carb cooking and the host was very happy to show his recipes for pancakes and muffins made using Soy Flour and sugar substitutes such as Splenda/Equal. There has been so much research published showing the Health Risks associted with Both Soy and artificial sweetners such as Splenda and Aspertame that I have to wonder why you (The Food Network) would air a program focusing on the use of these products. Soy contains compounds that block nutrient absorbtion as well as phyto- estrogens that have been linked to development disorders in infants and the onset of Lactation in males, just to name a few. I will continue to watch the Food Network but will ignore those programs that are misleading in their nutritianal content. Respectfully goat_60

I want to start out by saying I absolutely love the Food TV channel, but I have an observation that I must share. Two of my favorite Food TV celebrities are Rachel Ray and Giada De Laurentiis. They are both beautiful and talented women. What I don't understand is that in the last year -- and I believe Giada De Laurentiis started the trend -- we are seeing more cleavage than on night-time TV. After De Laurentiis started showing cleavage, Rachel Ray followed suit. I find it inappropriate and offensive. I am a white female, married 40 years, with grown daughters. I am not a prude, I enjoy seeing beautiful women and point out their beauty to my husband. I just don't like these programs trying to boost their ratings with sex. There is no question that the camera focuses in every time one of these celebrities bends over to get something under the counter or puts something in the oven. As far as I am concerned, it adds nothing to the show and offends women in general (I have asked).... Read more

Every time I watch the cooking shows I gain 10 pounds. The cooking channel is fun and educational. There are very few TV shows that an entire family can watch and this is one!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

WHAT AM I RATING??? TODAY I MEAN TO RATE 'CHALLENGE' (The teen competition). Excellent idea, good premise. DISGUSTING!!!! : To introduse 'diet' with 'HEALTHY'. Let 'them' prepare great food and excercise good immagination (as it well showed), BUT to expect, encourage and maybe require to use egg-beaters, margarine, etc. is INSANE. That is not the FOOD TVs original intent -- you're just jumping on board of trends... I find this offensive! I have been a great cook all my life. I am a great FAN of the foodtv programs , But I am also a great critique. Please let me know how I can rate various programs individually. Thank you, Marguerite
